not a brutal knockout at all in this video, AK vs 1010 all in preflop.. what happens after doesn`t matter at all - i would feel as bad if he flopped a two pair or a straight. i mean it happened on the river yea thats bit of torture but in my opinion a brutal knockout is if you get your money in like 93:7 and bust or when you you get dealt second nuts and play against nuts (like when vanessa selbst had the best full house and was up against quads). you need to explain your hand more if you want a real opinion.

Considering the 8 cards we saw dealt plus the 3 flop cards, there are two deuces left. So 41 x 40 ÷ 2 is 1 in 820.

@ianstewartgmat4485
@ianstewartgmat4485 Ай бұрын
The probability, when TT faces AK, that you'd specifically see a 2, 2, 2, 2, X runout in that order is just (4/48)(3/47)(2/46)(1/45)*1, but then you'd multiply that by 5, because you could have any of five equally likely runouts that give you quad twos on board (2222X, 222X2, 22X22, 2X222 and X2222), so it's roughly 1 in 40,000 to see quad deuces on the table with these two starting hands. The probability of any quads (deuces, treys, fours, etc) would be ten times higher (because you could have quad anything besides T, A and K here, for 10 possible types of quads), so roughly 1 in 4000. That's not accounting for the folded AJ or other folded cards, and if you wanted to know the probability AK wouldn't hit their A or K at any point, the probability is a bit smaller, but not a lot.

The only thing that's worse than getting four-flushed with AA v AA....
@Radimunto
@Radimunto Ай бұрын
That happens way more often.
@garrickmusic
@garrickmusic Ай бұрын
The four-flush AA v AA is worse because pre-flop there is only about a 2% chance each that you either win or you lose, 96% of the time it's gonna be a chop. This was just 56-44 preflop without the advantage of seeing the other player's discards. All five cards were coming out no matter what He was still only 84% after the turn. Quads on board is just ONE of the ways (however unlikely) a pocket pair Kings or lower can lose to Ace High before the flop drops.
