My era folks, LOVED Righteous Brothers, we had the best singers in the 60’s also listen to Bee Gees, all real brothers, sang since they were kids, all passed but Barry and he wrote their songs and for other artist. Only Barry left now😢

This is called blue-eyed soul. These guys were the best. Bobby Hatfield with his beautiful tenor voice & Bill Medley with his deeper voice. They were magic together. And remember this is done live. No auto-tuning crap like today. And the songs had meaningful beautiful lyrics. This is a really old song & was used in the 1945 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical "Carousel". Gerry & The Pacemakers had a hit with this song in 1963. And the Righteous Brother version is from 1965. Elvis Presley also covered it in 1967.

Roger’s and Hammerstein who wrote the music for Cinderella or The Sound of Music. This ding is from the broadway play Carousel. It’s an inspirational song that a mother sings to her daughter after the death of the kids father. It’s basically how the play ends. This is probably one of the best versions of that song that doesn’t sound like it’s a broadway musical. Their vocal range is unsurpassed. Going from so low to so ultra high. It just knocks you off guard but in a good way

This was on the Ed Sullivan Show when we were in the middle of the Viet Nam War. This song meant a lot to people who had family members over there fighting and many singers were performing this during that time. The Righteous Brothers version was a tear jerker but uplifting. Enjoying your reactions and comments. I was 15 years old when they came out with I Can’t Stop that Loving feeling. I still have the 45s of their hits. Don’t listen to comments about being a racist. We all thought they were Black until they performed on Sullivan, and I’m white. Check out the story of how before the world realized they were White, they were invited to perform at the famous Apollo Theater. Only famous Black entertainers were ever invited to perform there. Bobby Hatfield the tenor died over 20 years ago. Bill Medley the tall baritone is still performing, but with a new partner. Medley now sings Hatfield’s solos. In harmony, they still sound pretty good. Saw them live 5 years ago. They’re playing concert this September in Folsom, near Sacramento, CA.

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: "Breaking up/Staying together?" (Neither but "will always be watching over you" in a good way.) Go watch Rogers & Hammerstein's "Carousel". It is a sad story but hopeful at the end. It is worth going to a High School production or renting a production. If their names sound familiar, R&H also gave us The Sound of Music, South Pacific, The King & I (watch the movie with Yul Brenner!!), Oklahoma!, and quite a few more.

I love the Righteous Brothers. I grew up listening to them with my Grandmother, my mom, and my aunt. I think they helped to start my love of vocals, and ballads. Speaking of which, have you ever listened to Josh Groban? Also there are two Korean ballad singers you should check out, either on your channel, or on your own because their vocals are just beautiful. Paul Kim, and Park Hyo Shin. Since you appreciate good vocals I think you would like them. One more suggestion (I have so many I would like to suggest, but I'll hold back.) There is this Mongolian rock band called The Hu, they have very interesting vocal techniques. Also they have done collaborations with American rock artists, such as with their song Wolf Totem, they have the original, and one that is a collaboration with Jacoby Shaddix. If you do those I hope you do the original first, then the collab. The EXO reactions are my favs though.

This is soul with a "Capital S" produced by Phil Spector in his wall of sound. The reason you can't bring this back is because the artist of today don't have this type of talent and have to use auto tune. This is why the Righteous Brothers and Phil Spector are ALL in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame--- pure talent.😎
