As a child my parents always made fun of any art I tried to make but now in my 40s I find myself drawn to art magic so much! I have tried painting on my channel but I'm so bad at drawing your book and videos show me that art is more than drawing and really inspire me to step out of my last and try to find what works for me xx

I've come across you just as I've started waking my magic back up, having let it lie a bit quiet for a few years. Somehow, in coming back to my hometown 7 years back, and eventually moving back into the house I grew up in, to help take care of Alzheimer's Mama, with whom I've never had a great relationship, alongside a loving but hyper-sciencey non-magical father, it was just easier to sleep walk in their reality. Mom is now moving into the final phases of physical life, Dad is softening his raving atheist stance as she talks more about the god and heaven of her childhood Sunday school memories, and it's feeling easier to be me, without their unintentional resistance to work around, duck, or constantly spell my way through, which was just too tiresome. Thanks for reminding me why despite the foggy dream curtain, I have been creating a magical studio space, gathering up all the sorts of goodies I let go of when I downsized for the move, and doing my best to hang onto the shell of my magical art practice, even though in the fog of the dream, I couldn't remember what to do with it. Now, if I had seen this video 24 hours ago, I would have had a small mountain of scrap cardboard to start playing with immediately, but I guess if I focus first on finishing the store window display commission from whence the pile came, I'll not only have more cardboard scrap, but free time to play, without the missed deadline looming overhead. Thank you for being here to greet me as I was pushing through the last liminal haze! Big love.

The "substitute molding paste with paint thickened by flour/baking soda" is a GODSEND. I have plenty of the stuff leftover but it's sooo expensive. What would the consistency difference be between your hack version and using something like plaster? And the luster wax is SO cool. I mostly use Jacquard PearlEx pigments to mix my own metallics in different thicknesses but didn't think of doing it with a waxy encaustic texture

Can musicians and writers be considered "Art Witches" as well? It is all about using our creativity, right? I sketch out my characters and actually go in trance when writing scenes. It is very spiritual to me and very, very, very one with my witchcraft. Art was my favorite class in school and I mourned when they dropped it and fired all the art teachers. When I do art it hits me the same way as with writing or creating music. So, I am wondering if artistically creative people are ART WITCHES. Thanks! Blessed be!
