Most people don’t have a clue how screwed we are

It's not our "fault" though. We were born into the world created by BlackRock and co. When we place the blame and the responsibility on "ordinary people", we just generate useless guilt and anxiety. No one is responsible but the people who knowingly and willingly work for companies like BlackRock to help them amass as much money and power as possible, and the only people who can ever even begin to hope to take power and money away from these companies are good people in positions of political power. Changes of this magnitude have to be enforced by law with credible threat of violence for those who don't comply.

The state of Texas just recently blocked any teachers unions from investing in Blackrock.

BlackRock, Fidelity, Vanguard and State Street are the 4 horsemen. They own the world.

You missed the part where the biggest shareholders of BlackRock is Vanguard, and Vanguard does not disclose who owns it's shares. So basically the people that own the world, don't want you to know who they are. But I'm sure you can make a few good guesses

Blackrock has a market cap of $137 billion. When she talks about Blackrock owning this, that & the other thing, I think she means that funds they manage own parts of all this stuff. There is a difference. If you do not understand that this may be a bit misleading.

“Follow the money” and “ vote with your dollar.” Eye opening video, but my problem is I’m just trying to get through the day with work, chores, taking care of family. I accidentally came upon an article about this company in a search I did and thought I must have not understood the article, this was so unbelievable to me. I am not sure if this is still the case but that article said this corporation isn't even regulated by anyone. So crazy. Thank you very much for doing this video. It was long past due someone did. You tell me in 40 years this is the first time I've ever heard about this

A friend wanted to move to the Austin, Texas area a few years ago. He found that BlackRock was buying up residential real estate, so that there was nothing to be had. Consequently, my friend did not move to Austin area.

“Put your money into a local credit union!” That works until enough people to do that and then black rock buys the credit union lol.

I am so happy they don't get a single penny of my cash... I know exactly where every penny goes. I don't have insurance, pension, mortgage, credit cards or any savings in the bank. I have never trusted any of that.

Here in America, we are starting to look like a Third World country. Almost nobody makes more than $500 a week. The jobs are not as competitive as they used to be. Inflation is on the rise and your wages are stagnant inflations outpacing your wages. We have a terrible homeless situation. I no longer have a home when I had three of my own apartments when traveling across the country, we have very limited choices and freedoms. There are all these new rules I have seen in the past few years that are not constitutional. It’s overwhelming that when I walk out at night after I smoke so I can air myself out and get some exercise in between I feel as if police are going to patrol the neighborhood and asked me 20 questions about what I’m doing out this late and I feel as if they’re going to build AI generated police cars and robots to patrol the neighborhoods at night and I have been walking at my neighborhood after midnight for years without having any problems but after 2021 there have been police coming in my neighborhood for no reason whatsoever there have been reports of break-ins so there’s police at night questioning me when I’m walking there’s all these new rules. All the people in the country are brainwashed and are not as colorful as they used to be. It’s really overwhelming and America is starting to look like a third country. The governance is starting to look like China and the dictation of North Korea as time goes on, I remember 16 years ago I would go to a convenience store and there would be 30 different beverages to choose from with over 18 different companies with amazing exotic colorful logos. Today it just seems like we have one of everything and one company such as black rock owns everything and even though we have a terrible homeless situation and no affordable living whatsoever, they are building new houses all the goddamn time but yet we have no affordable living whatsoever. It’s really tiring hearing the exact same nonsense every day and the entire world is starting to look like, a Third World country. We got to find a way to put a stop to Black rock because if we don’t earth will be destroyed forever there have been riots and protesting of the black rock building in Paris, but nobody’s talked about it because they have so much power over the news and articles that it’s been silent to the public. Studying and learning about space with trillions of planets and galaxies within 1000 light years away and the universe being at least 40 billion light years away of the observable universe and earth being the only planet that has life within 4.2 years away and then to see how all these power-hungry people are treating the planet and that to me is like I don’t get it. I don’t get why the one and only planet that has habitable zones for life is being treated this Way.

They bought a big document deposit here in Argentina through their company Iron Mountaim, and a year later it was set on fire (8 years ago), ten firemen died. It was stated that the fire was intentional, but no one was found guilty. All documents were destroyed.

Beside some of the companies you mentioned and in which BR does have ownership, they are actually "only" managing the assets. Those many trillions are in asset management. People should understand the difference between asset ownership and asset management.

I like that your bringing awareness to this. One challenge that immediately jumps out at me is most people in the USA (working class) are very time challenged, they can barely find time to upgrade skills or for leisure pursuits. Just my thoughts, this is a tough message to get converted into action by the masses. I would say too many people just aren't even focused on what's really happening in the world how do you change that?

This Concentration of Ownership is inherent in the Kind of Monetary System we primarily use. If we don't want this concentration of wealth, We have to foundationally change the Monetary System.

I watched a documentary this weekend called MONOPOLY by Tim Gielen which shows exactly how BlackRock really does own EVERYTHING. Very eye opening.

What if we just disposed of the people behind the company?

This video seems to be missing the basic difference between asset management (BlackRock, vanguard etc) and asset ownership (banks, companies etc). Blackrock or its shareholders don't own much, their clients do, and BlackRock manages it on their behalf. And if they get fired they manage nothing anymore.

As a recruiter I’m aware of this and it upsets me so much in my day to day work. I don’t have any back up plan yet but it’s hard to live in a world where only money matters.

Great points, but I do have to remind you (and everyone that thinks like this) that it is NOT we who created this company nor enacted their behaviors NOR created the corrupt system that allows them to exist in the way that they do. There is WAY too much division amongst us already without us blaming each other for the evil acts of OTHERS.

I don't understand how it's the general consumer's fault that a few major corporate entities monopolise the world. The blame should lie on policymakers and the government for allowing this to happen in the first place. As you said, they have a finger in every pie, and since most people don't have the luxury of choice, we should not be at blame here. You remind me of when BP coined the term carbon footprint to shift the blame from themselves to the consumer.

People are like cats. As long as they have their big TV's, and shinny new cars they do not see anything else and are content with their lives.

The real solution to releasing yourself from the financial grip of these mega companies is to develop relationships with your neighbors with the intent of helping each other with basic needs. Food, clothing, shelter maintenance, general health issues, can all be dealt with without the need of money. It just takes a mindset of being willing to work and be generous with your time, skills and resources. Joyously willing to meet people more than halfway so the community benefits from it's own labor. It sounds Utopian a bit, but, it really is the way we have evolved to be. Greed and convenience have been manipulated by business and government entities because of our addiction to the abstraction of money. Truly working for your basics builds a strong body, strong relationships and humanity as a whole to be what it ought to be.

Almost impossible not to be part of it but hopefully we can make an even small change with our everyday choices. Always supported the Credit unions.

Actually, I don't understand your argument. Yes, Blackrock and Vanguard "hold" a lot if shares from all kind of companies. But they don't *own* most of these shares, as the shares are held by ETFs that are owned by you and me investing in these ETFs.

It is unbelievable how there are significant few who hold everything (and I mean everything) in their hands. Those are the ones who decide what happenes with the world. And it is so sad that they choose the wrong way to do so. They have enough power and resources to save the planet (and everything on it) but they still decide to run after the little piece of paper called money even if it means destroying everything in their way...

As a beginner investor in the stock market, I’ve noticed this since the beginning of my journey, researching about who owns the biggest companies in the world that Black rocks is almost always there on the top of the list. That’s just scary.
