This is my new favorite chess channel, I've been binge watching all videos, and watch them daily. I think the format is perfect, the themes at the beginning, the choice of openings, super practical for player like me (I'm 1600 rapid nowadays, my peak was 1796). I have switched to the Caro Khan from the 1.d6 Philidor, and it's much more active, I feel like I get a lot more winning chances and better positions.

Thank you for the content. I was looking for openings on black and white side and definitely love karo kan and London openings. Everything is pretty well defended and with potential of attack after development. Thank you for the videos, really enjoyed them 🙏

I play the caro as black, I get good results with the advance variations but in classical variations of the caro, I have a hard time even having 50/50 chances. are there any side lines black could try in the classical caro you could recommend?

It seems that many middle players have taken to this line of defense. However many of them seem to forget that if the traps don't work, you have to actually play chess.

Can someone explain the trap he did to the queen? I see he trapped the queen from moving forward but why did that lead to a win?? Can the queen not retreat?
@ArjunLall
@ArjunLall Жыл бұрын
Yes, no matter where the white queen would go black would be able to take the queen. It was literally trapped. You can examine all the squares 22:24
@ArjunLall
@ArjunLall Жыл бұрын
Also, the other player just resigned because he knew he would lose the queen and then be at a significant disadvantage for the rest of the game.
