dont know why......i lose 90% of my jobava attempts. i am completely lost after move 10-14 you play 1k elo+ people all the time but my opponents around 800 seem FAR better than they are most of the time. im bouncing for months (a year even?) around 750-850 (doing mostly your caro kann and jobava religiously) and NEVER see anything you ever you ever show past the 10th move. I never get the mid to late game positions you do...opponents rarely allow the pawn storm cuz they dont do the bishop to allow f3. I basically never see that at all. 90% play Bd3 after Nb5 instead of Na3 or e5 so I take with the knight then go a3 and lost every game I played today from there on (lost nearly 150 points today) Mega frustrating.

Day 2, fourth video watching his Caro simplified playlist, this one is probably the most exciting chess video I see on internet recently. I mean the first game was totally... I've never seen him get almost checkmated in his gameplays. But this time it was different. He managed to survive cuz cheater ran out of time to cheat . And he beat. Second one ,idk what to say he might be a cheater cuz he is playing every moves Alex mentioned and calculated. But only one bad rook move and he's gone.

Conclusion here without spoiling the video. Exchange - Simplest one ,just develop normally Tartakower- Popular one but boring variation cuz you go into set up style most of the time Fantasy - Really rare, ive never seen someone played this even in his playlist. You can either get a M7 or GINOURMOUS Fork. Advanced - Most common one and most difficult one but my favourite cuz it's really fun playing. You will see many lines here. In the first main line, your main purpose is to fight central pawn and wait for opponents mistakes. Second one is easier for you you trade and rest is on you.

Day 2 second video, watching his Caro Kann Simplified playlist. Today,i played 4 games, three of them were Balck and i used Caro. I won all of them. I jist noticed that in lower rated games , people like to play hillbilly atk, which i think the worst version of caro-kann and some like to hop scholar mate( even in this video). And then its become a ez win

Hey man, im 900, i climbed to 1000 than lost a bit offocus and elo, but i climbed from stuck 850 too 1000 in few days before, i playd ponziani and your opening (maybe not totally like you ) and i have to say it s kind of magical for me , the week i climbed i had like 49 % winrate on the ponziani ... and between 70 and 75 % winning on your opening, too be true i tryed hard much more to learn all the ponziani tricks but i can t remember all the variation and i feel like i kind of trick myself more with it than i trick oponnents, but on this opening i just play always the same maybe 10 moves in a different order and i have good weapon pointed on weaknesses that can be revealed very fast, and if not i have a good game something to exploit to take advantage or at least be equal after 10-15 moves and play and interesting game, so thanks a lot ! (and it feel unstoppable sometimes way below 1700)

Btw i play C5 even after 1D4, my knight C6 blocking the pawn after and i play my moves starting by e6 letting them play with this pawn on c5 trying to protect this even if i don t care that much, and this is working at my elo

In game 1 near the end, I'm not sure what number the move was because I couldn't see it, a few moves before checkmate, Alex made the move Qf3. If the opponent had've noticed he could have taken Alex's Queen with his King. I was surprised that Alex didn't mention it at the end of the game, maybe he didn't notice. He might mention it later as I haven't finished watching the whole video yet. Just thought I'd mention it as I normally never make comments.

Day 2 , second video, watching his Caro Kann simplified playlist . I just noticed Caro Kann has many lines and different move order although some line overlap each other after a few moves. I still think Caro is a lot harder than Vienna

Not well played by black. Black's c4 is a blunder because gf+ hurts black's king safety. White get an easy game with lots of attacking possibilities. I've had opponents blunder like this too and it has not gone well for black. Much better is ..f6 by black because this prevents white from moving his knight to g5. Frankly, breaking black open after ..f6 is pretty hard. So I really think the title of this video is kind of silly as - yeah - if your opponent makes a bad mistake yeah, the Jobova is great. But with proper defense by black the Jobova is certainly NOT unstoppable. I would welcome videos that show how to defeat a better black defense.
