In this video we will show you how to remove and replace A/C AC Compressor on Mazda with 2.3 Turbo Engine. We demonstrated how to remove and replace the AC Compressor on Mazda CX-7 but it should work on Mazda Speed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 with the 2.3 turbo DISI MZR engine. Always make sure that the ac system is completely empty before removing any ac lines.

For anyone doing this, it's a huge huge less headache if you get a hose pincher, pinch the bottom radiator hose and remove it and pull it out of the way, you'll have ton of room to see all the bolts and remove the compressor easier. no need to fiddle around, that radiator hose blocked everything, pinch if off, remove it and put it aside, you'll lose a cup of coolant and just refill it later.

Thanks for the video, wanted to mention to anyone else out there dealing with a/c clutch issues, don't waste your time and money on a new clutch assembly, get the whole compressor, I replaced my clutch just for the compressor to give up the ghost.

What size was the bolt to remove the clutch if you can remember, I just want to take the clutch off to see if it’ll work fine and just not have air conditioning

I am trying to take out the ac pulley! I just don’t have enough space, what tool should I use to take it out! Motor in! I’m working right under the wheel

I would like to see the best way to replace the belt while in the vehicle. I have done it's not as simple as it looks while engine is outside the vehicle. My main question is if there is an easier way than connecting two open face wrenches. I couldn't find an angle that would work with serpentine belt removal tool that is borrowed from the parts store. I tried both from top and bottom. I have found all your videos awesome and has saved me tons of money.

Hi fellow, this is a very instructive video, I'll do it but in a Mazda 6 MPS (or Mazdaspeed6) which have the same engine and compressor, but I have a question, do I need to add oil to the new compressor before install it ?, if so, where to add that oil ?

i noticed that one of the four bolts that bolts the compressor to the engine block is shorter. Which bolt is that shorter one? Thanks

Even though those are two different types of AC compressors were two different size pulleys can you swap the two because I have the bigger pulley and I got an AC compressor that has the smaller pulley. I was wondering if I could swap it to and just use a smaller belt?
