I'm not going to comment on how old Angus may be, the first time I saw the original line up was in The Glasgow Apollo and it was demolished at least 35 years ago! Angus was the first one I saw with a transmitter pack!

saw them in 1980 and 2001 . In 1980 the whole gig , he was running from one side of the stage to the other . There is a concert coverage with Bon Scott ( RIP ) from Apollo , Paris . At one point of the gig , Angus got pure oxygen .

AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson the lead singer was 63, Angus Young the lead guitarist was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! Great reaction hombre so says Austin Tx!! More River Plate please!!!! 🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎😎

Angus Young was 54 years old at the time of this concert. He was born in 1955. Its hard to believe that he was old enough to be a father to probably 80 percent of the people in that stadium. Angus is one of the most entertaining musicians around and its no surprise that his name is chanted in every stadium and venue AC/DC plays in. Angus is a fan favorite all over the world.

I've seen them live six times all the way back to the early 80's and every show is high energy, back in 86 Angus was on Brian's shoulders doing a solo out in the audience, Brian was toting him around in the crowd playing and then they finally came on stage and Angus ran all over the place playing, after the song ended about fifteen minutes later you could see the tour crew giving him oxygen because he was so wore out and he just came right back out and started playing again like it was nothing. Greatest hard rock band in the world if you ask me other than Iron Maiden.

Bon Scott was certainly not the band’s original leader. AC/DC had been around (with a singer) for a while before Bon joined the band. They actually met the extremely charming and talented songwriter that was Bon, when he was briefly employed as a chauffeur by their record company. After Malcolm passed away Angus has now become the leader of something that has unfortunately become more “brand than band.” Before that it was strictly the two Young brothers ruling with an iron fist. Cross either (or become unwell) at your peril, as not only are you out of the band, you will possibly be the last to know.

not bad for a band where all are over 50 aye? Legend has it that Angus used to go to group rehearsals without taking off his school uniform. When he started the band Angus was still of school age, so one day his sister Margaret saw him and gave him the idea of going out like this at shows. On the other hand, it seems that the teachers at Angus’ school continually scolded him, telling him that if he continued only concerned about music and did not study, he would not achieve anything; Therefore, in his honor and in memory of his school, he is dressed like this.

He's a Guitar Rock God and one can debate where he stands on the list. No one though, is going to out "Showman" him ( and the band). That's what sets him (and the band) apart. The crowd knows AC/DC is not mailing it in. Now, it's Christmas 2023, and they lost his brother. The drummer has Issues getting into certain countries and they are older and a little slower. Still, for this kind of music, it's still hard to beat them for up and comers in Rock 30, 40 or 50 years younger. The crowd has to feel that nothing was left on the table.

Saw ACDC.. When they were not really known.. I believe they fronted for kiss. I could be wrong that was a long time ago. Angus got on someone's shoulders and went around playing the guitar circling the venue.. I am glad I got to see them Live.

Well he is 66 now but he has always had energy. I think it is partially because of how hyped up the crowd gets because he is so good at playing the guitar. So on the flipside that gets him hyped up during his solo's. and also because of the improvised chucky berry duck walk that he does.

@@dubzer0649 Sad they really don't tour that much anymore though because the lead singer Brian Johnson has hearing damage. He even said in an interview that he can barely hear his own self sing now :/

The key thing to acknowledge is this. Angus Young was born in 1955...the very same year they are singing about, "Back in 1955...man didn't know about the Rock 'n Roll Show...and all that Jive."...this is the relationship Angus continues to share, his birth with the birth of Rock an Roll. He is 7 years older than me but we both crank that rock and roll. When I was 7...I was at the Original Woodstock. Yea baby, yea. So...Dig it!
