I saw them in the 80s and in 2012. You won't see ANY band nowadays get these kind of crowds. Awesome band live!!

THIS Can't be Replicated.... 7 Changes, Pagey & Jonsey were studio Rats and Heard and Did it all. Page Played with The Beatles, The Who, The Stones, The Kinks, Lula Bell, Tom Jones, Donavan and MANY More. Vic Flick, James Bond Fame, said, Yeah, Jimmy did alright. Richie Blackmore was Jealous as Hell. Tony Iommi was John Bonham's Best Friend. Jeff Beck was in Awe. Towsend said, Led Who? And Keith Moon Called them a Lead Balloon. But Jimmy would Fight anyone who would say, JEFF Wasn't the Greatest Guitar Player in the World. While Jonsey said, Richie Who?? They all watched Jimmi Hendrix and wondered, what planet he flew in from? But Clapton was God!!!

SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT!!! The Climbing the Mountain represents ZOZO a Spirit that Observes ancient Cities and is a Demon of Ouija. This song Changes 7 Different stages and is a Masterpiece. Pagey changes directions and upon Ques allows John Paul and John Bonham to improvise with the framework of the various Ques Jimmy Lays, while Robert comes over the top with vocal howls that put the whole song into a Frenzy of Organized Chaos!! Simply Wonderful!! One has to remember. This is all being performed in 1972-73 when AC/DC and Van Halen were still in High school and Deep Purple was breaking up. The only bands who might compete with the Mighty Zep was "The Who", Rush, The Alman Brothers and The OutLaws!! But NO ONE Could Compete(The Who) And remember, 3 guys were making this much sound? Purple had Keyboards, Skinner had two drummers and 4 guitars. Only The Who and Zep were 3 players. ZZTop, RUSH! This was BRILLIANT!!

Damn I wish I could have been there. IMO, the greatest blues rock band of all time. As much as I love watching these videos I always have a touch of sadness seeing Malcolm and thinking he was taken from us far too soon. RIP to a true guitar legend.

This was a song and hit that almost wasn't. The band came in on their last studio day and were ready to start packing everything up to leave when Livgren walked in stating he had one more song that just came to him the night before. They laid it down in one day and brought it to the President of their Record Company (Don Kirshner), who could not believe what he was hearing. Kirshner had sunk almost a million dollars into this group with no real returns, and he knew, when he heard this, that all that was about to change!

Saw them in 73 outside the Royal Exhibition building in Fitzroy Melbourne, I was 12 and it was my first concert! ps: Melbourne is the only city in the world to win World's most livable city 7 years running and was recently voted friendliest city in the world. As a joke us school kids used to sing: It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll...
