From a Juve fan, this guy is the epitome of a legend. His work ethic and loyalty is unmatched. Even at the age of 42 this guy was able to outrun 20 year olds. He's simply unbelievable.

No Maldini was too old in 2006 for the national team. He was 38 years ! He was already 34 in 2002 and he played yet for Italy ! It's rarely for a player to be in the national until 34 years Great player

Ya but all those players bar kaka and oirlo were well in there 30s. I can't believe how bad Milan have become as they were always a great team in Europe but they obviously left it too late the replace these players and when they tried replacing these world class players they replaced them with cheap ordinary players hence nobody had heard of Milan in 10 years now. Crazy how such a huge club like them are unknown to 12 year old kids now

I'm not a Milan fans and very rarely love players from Serie A big clubs, but Maldini is one exception. You just can't dislike that guy. No enemies has ever said a bad thing about him as well, so I don't understand why they did such a thing. Maldini is a legend. They are nothing.

Best defender of all times. I am a Sporting Lusbon fan ,i am 47 and i was so lucky to wach the best times this sport. Nothing will get clser to serie A at this times.Paulo Maldini and Francesco Totti are Gods. Far away better than many golden balls during the decades of this football decadence...Maldini forever.
