Taming animals, recruiting, naval battles, and yes the scenery 😳 but i must say ezio trilogy ambience was much better the thing i liked in valhalla is the instant assassination and blending in the crowd is back. I wish the hireable mercs, thieves and romanies will come back someday

Yes for sure. I cleared the entire map & beat the story etc and I’m still angry I wasted so much time on some of those dumb mysteries

I did everything this game has to offer along with DLCs (I even did those little treasures and boring river raids) and it took me 215 hours but well, I would lie If I told you that I had fun the entire game. Some of those side activities got frustrating and boring really quickly, raids were annoying because there were some chests that could be opened with a companion and they sometimes couldn't come in because they were stuck or something. Destroying the curse or stacking the stones for the 100th time was just tiring and DLCs (Apart from Dawn of Ragnarok, I loved it) were also boring and half-assed. They were basically about the same thing that the main story was about, so conquering Ireland or France. I still continued to do 100% because I did it in Odyssey and decided to do the same with Valhalla but man, Odyssey was much more enjoyable in this regard. I finished Odyssey on 100% in 140 hours and still was eager to play more. When I finished The Last Episode in Valhalla, I was so relieved that after so many hours I could finally uninstall this game and have this feeling that I did everything there.

Mostly change of game style is what people are mad about and how it doesnt relate to ac much but another big factor is its repetitive however if your thinking about buying id suggest getting it on sale its a good game just not 60$ worth

I did it on 100% but gotta Admit that Valhalla was the most repetitive one out of this RPG trilogy. The world felt boring after a while, side activities were fun for maybe first 15-20 hours but then got tiring and frustrating and I think they went too far with those fantasy things like Eivor being the reincarnation of Odin and reliving the Asgard stories. It just didn't fit Assassin's Creed game. Odyssey had those Greek mythology worlds like Hades and such but they were ONLY in DLC, not in the main game.

About the locations, I think it's more due to Egypt being such a unique and beautiful place, kinda mysterious and mystic in a way while the middle-age England and Norway are kinda bland and normal in comparison. The ancient Greece in Odyssey was also much more enjoyable to explore. When I played Valhalla, I had no real interest of specific places, I would just go to clear out a location and go to another. In Odyssey though everything feels interesting. I'm replaying it now and this time I decided not to do it on 100% but still sometimes I do all those question marks on my way to the main mission out of curiosity what I can find there.
