BTW, count me down as an Android user who cannot change any settings on the Connect because the app is still iPhone only. I'm also a Fuji user. I'm loving the B10s, so I look forward to the day when the A1/A1x is available for Fujis.

I think all the A1 light modifiers can be used on A1X too. if we could recognise available Channels around (Like wifi) when we are going to set the channels in order to avoid the conflict in signalling ( just my suggestion ) either on screen or in mobile app

Yes, all A1 modifiers work with the A1X.

Hi, I just received my Profoto A1X for Sony and it feels great in my hands. The flash head is a lot more stable. I like it! But I was wondering there is no Wide Lens included anymore like in the original A1. Is it not needed anymore because the A1X can eventually zoom wider? Or should the Dome Diffuser be used instead? Or what is the reason?

This is true, I also encountered that. Profoto answered me and just decided to do it that way. I know bought an additional a1, no I have the wide too :D

Will the Connect get an update to control groups separately in the app. Love the device and app interface. Really frustrated I can’t adjust groups separately.

Any will work but buy a decent quality one.. Not cheap plastic crap. Think of the cost of the equipment it will hold.

If you’re on the red carpet, do the channels sort out and change themselves to avoid conflict?

No, you have to choose a channel manually.

Let me think, I’m in a group of camera jocks at the Cannes Film Festival. A star is coming out of her limo so I scream stop, all 20 of us need to sort out our channel so we don’t conflict with each other. Right. I have the Canon A1 with my Sony airTTL while waiting for U to put out the Sony version. I strongly suggest U guys by Rode Wireless GO kit. Even though Rode’s mic kit sells for the astronomical price of $199. It is able to constantly search for channel conflicts and switch channels without affecting audio quality period. In fact, there is no way to set a channel. The unit doesn’t tell us it is channel hoping. IT JUST WORKS! Join the 21st century. Make your units automatically choose whatever channel they need to to avoid conflicts. I don’t give a damn what channel that is, just get out of my way and let me work in peace. If I wanted a ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ interface I’d buy a V1 from Godox. I have an A1X on order! Did I forget to mention that 4 V1s COST LESS THAN 1 A1X!!!! The Wireless GO works like a dream. If your ‘TEAM’ can’t figure out how to do this, take some of the money U are hoarding and buy an engineer from Rhode. Better yet, buy Rhode!

@@T-Slider Last time I shot at the Cannes Film Festival we were over 130 photographers by the red carpet so 20 channels would not help you. Just do what we all did, put the A1 on the camera, turn off the air control... bam problem solved. The 20 channels are for smaller events and when you have the flash off-camera...which NOBODY did at Cannes Film Festival.

Hannola Photography the last time I was at the Cannes Film Festival, beside the red carpet was 1972! Radio frequencies weren’t a problem. But now that you mention it, I can see this being a highly annoying problem at event venues. PF needs to up their game.

@@T-Slider You can turn off the remote on the A1 so when you have it on camera it only flashes when you pull the trigger.
