The Fighting Irish picked up a dominant victory over the Hokies to advance to the finals of the 2024 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament, 82-53. 4 of the Irish’s starters finished with 14 or more points, led by Sonia Citron’s 19 on 7-12 shooting. She’d also add 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Maddy Westbeld added 18 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and a steal, while Hannah Hidalgo dropped 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Georgia Amoore led the way for the Hokies in Tech’s second-straight outing without ACC Player of the Year Elizabeth Kitley with a 24-point game.
