In this video, I've teamed up with my hilarious British girlfriend, Rey, to dive into the humorous and often confusing world of American and British English. You know the saying - two countries separated by a common language? Well, we're here to make sense of it all!
We'll explore words that we spell differently, pronounce differently, and even those completely unique words exclusive to either side of the Atlantic. From 'color' vs 'colour' to 'trunk' vs 'boot', we have it all covered!

Ingilizceyi Avustralya da ogrendim, 8 yildir amerikada yasiyorum, zamanla unutmaya basladigim kelimeleri ikinizden duymak cok hosuma gitti. Hala karistirdigim, adapte olamadigim kelimeler var, mesela: Trash-garbage, Refrigerator-fridge , dummy-pacifier, pram-stroller, trolley-shopping cart, countertop-bench…

I speak with a Jamaican accent with a mix of British and American pronunciations. We started off British and slowly transformed into American. 😊

British accent is BS tbh, though in our country we follow their education system. But i will never agree on the way they call stuff, it just doesn't make any sense. American sounds more correct and easy to listen to. Had personal experience with British people and oh boy i can't stand them

Why is Reş saying “we” as in we in the U.S. … he is Turkish! And yes, aluminum is wrong because aluminium is from the Mendeleev periodic table of elements. Also, not EVERYONE calls them sneakers because the U.S. is not everyone. In Slavic languages, the word for the sports shoes is different. Sneakers is only the sticky chocolate bar …
