As Ian Wright said last night, this is how it should be for both men and women’s first teams. It should be the norm. It was an incredible sight to see The undefeated Lionesses walking past the European Championship out to a sold out Wembley where they belong with “Free’d from Desire blasting out” on the sound system. It was made even more special by the first lionesses giving a guard of honour after finally being awarded their International caps for the game against Scotland in 1972.

Was at Wembley with my daughter to see these two great teams play brilliant football - and what an atmosphere ! Excellent match and great victory for England!

It was magic ! I remember eating Kirby do the keepy ups in the warm up couldn’t stop watching her !

Super love both teams. I actually thought England would win 3-0 because of their experience. I really underestimated the USWNT especially because of that young back line and lots of inexperienced players. Should’ve been 2-2 but that was a really bad VAR call. Anyway, this is a wake up call for both teams. USWNT need to fix their midfield. England on the other hand, need to fix their defense.
