Күн бұрынThe royal family seem to have put aside any past differences to honor Queen Elizabeth II at her funeral. As the royal family left Westminster Abbey after the service on Monday, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, were spotted standing closely with other members of the family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Queen Consort Camilla. Their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, also walked side-by-side behind their grandmother's coffin.

I took it this way. The symbols of power were taken away and laid on the altar. Now what remains is the body of a member of the daughter, sister and wife.

@@manichairdo9265 Yes Australia and New Zealand were walking in the procession too. The Commonwealth countries came together which was great to see. The horses that the Canadian Mounties were riding were the horses they gifted the Queen over the years so they said.

I am truly amazed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte behaved so well during the entire funeral. This can be very hard for an adult to endure much less for a child. Princess Katherine must be very proud of them both!!!

@@joandemarco1859 actually not a lot. I do not begrudge paying £1.38 a year. Also I do not resent paying a little extra for Queen Elizabeths funeral. Elizabeth brought peace and often acted as a go between over the years to keep the UK safe. Let it go. She has now been reunited with her beloved Philip, mum, dad and sister. Let go of it. I can think of worse ways as a UK taxpayer of how our money is wasted.

Who on this earth has brought people together like our beloved late Queen Elizabeth has even in death. I certainly cannot beat that. I also think with the me me society that now exists and all the hatred of blame in this world for things that noone alive today is to blame for. Nobody will ever bring the world together again like Elizabeth has. Now that is sad and a tragedy for our beautiful planet x

Respect to all the officers who marched & participated during the 10 days of mourning. Can’t be easy to do those long walks in uniforms. I thought to myself: achy feet, hungry stomachs, dehydration that they had to endure. Also, those men who carried the Queen’s coffin, isn’t it lead lined inside? As a former military member, I can assure you, the uniform is cozy warm and, except for the neck button, rather comfortable. The part that sucks is the shoes. Even with band-aids on the friction points of your feet, and cushioned socks and gel insoles, walking, marching, and standing is a b*tch. Don't lock your knees.

It's their job to report,I get that but there's a time and a place for everything. This should be a solemn time out of respect for the life the Queen lived and the dignity and respect she left for us to follow and to spread around so that the world can be a much better place. But no the British and Australian media made this about Meghan,all the trolling,the vitriol etc.they could have just waited until the funeral was over, this just shows that they didn't respect the Queen either...so sad.

Like everyone of us. That first week you are numb. Living on the funeral rythm. So many things to take care of. But then after a month you get this urge to talk to your loved one. Pick up the phone. You hear something that you can't wait to tell them. And after 2 seconds you remember that it is no longer possible. Crying in the shower. It takes a while to learn to live without. What we mourn is the relationship that is ended without our consent.

Those moments when you go to call the person or want to tell them good news, or look to them for advice or decide to drop by & see them on your way home from, wherever, so on & so forth. That is when it truly hits the hardest. I think because the act is so natural & it's only a thought for a second before you tell yourself s/he has passed. Those moments were as hard as the day they died or were buried. Nothing will ever feel the same again.

Honestly I think the BBC live telecast of the funeral was sooooo moving. Their broadcast was great. I think also the focus on the issues with Harry and Meghan should rest. They lost a loved one. The blaming of Meghan for the rift between the Royals is unfair, mean spirited, distasteful and quite frankly prejudicial. Leave them alone!!!

Agreed! As an American, I elected to watch the BBC broadcast of the state funeral over our 3 American networks. The coverage that the BBC put out over the last 11 days of Her Majesty's passing and subsequent events was far superior, more tasteful and arguably better journalism. I give major kudos to the Nation in all aspects from journalism, law enforcement, and the British society for handling her passing with such grace and dignity. Even citizens queuing for her viewing over a 4-day period handled it with the togetherness one would expect from Britons. There was history and many memories made this past few weeks. Rest in peace, Elizabeth R and God save the King, Charles III....

I think the whole world should pay respect to the Great Queen and close all businesses, hospitals, government offices, TV stations, video game and social media sites around the world for a month. It's a small sacrifice that we have to endure compared to all the heroic achievements the Queen has done for the entire world. She is more heroic than any soldier, she is holier than the Pope himself.

Every media outlet talks about the rift between the brothers but nobody has ever specifically said what the rift is. At the end of the day these two brothers grew apart but obviously still love each other because they're Brothers. Prince William married and had his own family and now Prince Harry is married and have his own family. Everyone needs to stop pushing this lie that the brothers don't get along what family member ever got along 100% of the time there's bound to be you know ill feelings depending on what's going on but at the end of the day obviously they love each other they're still a family and it's just grown up then we can't expect them to live together for the rest of their lives with their own families that's just not how it works and I just wish people would stop pushing this Narrative of the brothers have a rift between them there's no Rift they just they're two different people and they grew up.

He needs to be a little more lenient seeing as how his indiscretion is standing by him. Yes, what Andrew is accused of is bad. But Harry and Meghan stepping aside is not a bad thing. Charles, however, has made some rather questionable decisions in the past, which still remain his present. This should be considered. Just saying.

Magnificent state funeral to honor the late Queen, Her Majesty and a great turnout of the people in the UK! This Brit-American was up early and watched from beginning to end! And bagpipes always stir up the Scottish and Irish in me! The last great state funeral I saw was for the late war hero President John F. Kennedy with various heads of states like France's General President De Gaulle and the late Prince Philip representing the Queen in 1963! Along with the beautiful black "riderless horse' which was patterned after the funeral of President "Honest Abe" Lincoln! The little kids back then were Caroline age 5 and John Jr. age 2 who saluted his father when the coffin passed! Both grand unforgettable historical events! Cheers from Yankee New England where we still have very strong ties to the UK and Ireland, Kennedy country! May the Queen rest in peace and "God Save the King' who is my age, both born in 1948, post WW2! Prince George and Princess Charlotte were the epitome of well behaved children, bravo! ♥♥

The worlds Majesty Queen Elizabeth will Reigned forever. I will miss her smile and those beautiful well fitted, colorful dresses she wore with matching hats. She can wear any color and it goes so beautifully well with complexion. Gosh her smile brightened the world just the same. I got the impression that Harry wanted to step down from royal duties for a period of time but not to walk away for all time. He wanted to spread his wings without the cushion of the firm.but the media and elements within the Palace made things really toxic for him and his wife. The men in suits at the Palace have a lot for which they must answer. Remember Princess Di and the men in suits.

Thank you for being so positive. It’s so nice to hear. With regards to relationships, Prince Harry obviously lost respect for his dad after their divorce; the fact that his father was cheating while his parents leaves a child that age in a very difficult position. Camilla will never take Diana’s place. Prince Harry is polite and uses the manners around her, but obviously, he is not close to her nor his father. And when Diana was killed in such a horrible way, the road back to peace and respect was never turned. I doubt it ever will be. This is about respect and honor and Standing By Your Woman. I salute him. I’m praying the book won’t be published or at least a decent amount of time is honored. I love seeing Harry and Megan holding hands.

It's not fair to compare anyone. Each person responds differently to different situations and specially to a deeply emotional one. I hope King Charles lll realises his mistake and is able to bring peace in the family. They were all hurting, was plain to see. It will be difficult for the world to not see the queen with reference to the UK. But may all the leaders, around the world be inspired by her dignity, sense of duty, nation above all else and rule wisely. She lived a long & fruitful life, dedicated to her country till the end. May her soul rest in peace forevermore. Amen. God knows the world is really messed up and needs direction.
