7 day weeks, I try to get the new auger working on the yard then I’m called into the student jobs to help snag some of the houses the day before they move in

Lovely great to see I haven't had a drink for over 30 years. My father told me that if I avoided alcohol, I would be able to afford the best car and enjoy driving it in comfort. He based this on the idea of eight pints in a gallon. He suggested I consider the cost of a pint-let's say, for example, £4 today. Multiplying that by eight gives £32 a gallon. Comparing this to the cost of fuel, he explained that I could drive a Jaguar and lead a healthier, more luxurious lifestyle. Furthermore, avoiding alcohol could potentially save a marriage, prevent harm to children, and allow for financial contributions to the family. The money saved could be used to pay for driving lessons, a good holiday, or simply to enhance the quality of life for myself and my loved ones.

That’s good advice!

Hopefully I’ll stick to it but I just think enough is enough.

That’s interesting to hear! Glad you are better off now and I agree this industry is bad for it more than most. It’s nice to socialise with people but I guess we don’t need to drink alcohol to enjoy each others company. You’ve given me more inspiration to stop 👍🏻

Fire the heating up for 20 minutes, and those stickers come off nice and easy. Some of the rad pipes on those student houses are comical hah😂😂

Great aren’t they. I’ve always liked the 10mm back boxes so they are hidden. But this time we will go with brushed fronts rather than the sleedfit ones and maybe do a 2gang rather than a 1gang.

You need quick fit hydraulic connectors for your PTO pipes & auger. 2 x male 2 x females & then the appropriate adapters for different size pipes.

None of us have seen him for a while! He’s in town sleeping rough. Tried a couple of times to find him with no luck 🙁

Andy, sometimes like on that tap there is an aerator on them, like the one you changed. these should unscrew and you'll get better flow so it will flush the pipework out better for ya. also, sometimes the aerators hold all the crap behind them like a sieve, so try unscrewing the aerator, flushing the tap/pipework, cleaning the aerator and 9 times outta 10 it'll do the job and it's a 30 second fix. the tap and flexi's definitely needed changing in this case though. top job 👍
@BowdenBuildersАй бұрын
@@CorvusCoroneCanisLupusSawel that’s what I was looking for on the end of the tap but when I seen I couldn’t unscrew the cold flexi I thought I’ll just swap the tap for a new one as most of the time once one thing starts going it’s normally followed by others 🙈

@@BowdenBuilders hahaha! totally agree, especially with plumbing/water. so simple, yet so annoying 🤣
@BowdenBuildersАй бұрын
@@CorvusCoroneCanisLupusSawel what annoys me most with plumbing is the amount of fittings you need and always you run out of one fitting when you need it most.
@CorvusCoroneCanisLupusSawelАй бұрын
@@BowdenBuilders i know what ya mean 😆 i just did a job for someone who bought a flat from a housing association. a lot of the plumbing needs updating/checking/redoing. bought all the stuff i needed, came to the bath taps and i've got the wrong connections for the taps as someone who worked for the housing association has put half inch taps and fittings on instead of 3 quarter inch taps and fittings. they've done the same in the kitchen 🤧
@BowdenBuildersАй бұрын
@@CorvusCoroneCanisLupusSawel yeah exactly that! And my call out vans big but not big enough to stock everything. Nothing worse than going screwfix buying what you need then realising you need one more fitting
