I think that Captain Sturlaugson is absolutely correct about human decency. However, by that same logic, shouldn't the police give a nice verbal warning before issuing a discretionary traffic citation? It works both ways. You have the right to fart in an elevator full of people. Most of us do not because of common human courtesy. Maybe there is room for his argument in this community. Rights that are exercised in an irresponsible manner could lead to the loss of those rights.

The passive aggressive morality cop was ridiculous and condescending. Shameful public servant wants us to give up a Constitutional Right for courtesy (even when you were being courteous.) He displayed no listening skills and had only preconceived notions.

The councilman tried to intimidate you, kick you out for filming in a public building, and then stood around waiting for the police to do something to you. He deserves every word you said to him.

That Captain thinks he's a "feelings enforcement" officer, not a law enforcement officer. There's no such thing as Manners Police!

Debating with a cop is like debating with a fence post.

Only a tyrant would compare filming our government to keep them accountable, to a stranger filming children playing in a playground.

That first tyrant is a mess. He has a issue with people with a camera. He came in with a attitude from the jump.

This cop voice is shaking and very emotional. Wouldn’t like to see him in an actual intense confrontation. Very dangerous.

This condescending law enforcement officer just wasted tax payers money and time preaching about courtesy. He needs to stop yapping & focus on what we pay him to know: LAWS. He was outwitted and outsmarted from the start.

WOW...Laura, the very first lady Josh talked to gets an A+, AND, she needs to be put on at least 10,000 AFA fans' Christmas list...SHE WAS THE EPITOME OF EVERYTHING A PUBLIC SERVANT EMPLOYEE AT A TOWN OR CITY HALL SHOULD BE, SHE WAS FRIENDLY x 10², SHE RESPONDED TO JOSH, SHE ANSWERED HIS QUESTIONS, WANTED TO GET HIM WHATEVER INFORMATION HE WAS LOOKING FOR AND FOUND THE ANSWER FOR HIM ONLINE...ALL WHILE NOT PESTERING HIM ABOUT WHAT HE WAS DOING, WHY, WHAT FOR, HOW COME, WHAT'S YOUR PURPOSE OR ARE YOU SURE THAT'S LEGAL? She was 100% cordial and cool, perfect!

That was painful. Sturlaugson definitely thinks he is the feelings and morality police rather than LAW enforcement.

Let’s remember that he’s literally walking around with a pocket size phone, not no huge camera. Clearly visible, tank top, tattoos and all. I don’t see what they would be scared of.
