I went to Ghana this past January to do a study abroad program for my college in the US. We learned about the history of slavery in West Africa and how it impacts society today in Ghana. We visited Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Paga, Yendi, Mole national park, Cape Coast (with all the castles). Ghana is an absolutely beautiful country and even though I am Zimbabwean American Japanese, I would love to spend a little more time in Ghana and revisit the country. Such a beautiful place

Honestly, what kind of comment was that "too many blacks for me". You, or at least that shitty self-hating slave brain that makes such thoughts, are part of what is so wrong with our people. I live in China, surrounded by mostly yellow and brownish people.. and still I would never say something so low. I can only guess you come to a video like this and say something like that to get attention, though. Clearly you are lacking self-love, which maybe is something no one can fix so you better stay in your white-washed world.. just don't be shocked when they exclude you and turn on you. Even from here I feel called to experience more of my own kind.

I was in Ghana in 1998 and it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen and I had the best time I had ever had in my life. I heard about some of the violent things that Rawlings had done to secure power in Ghana in the 80s and 90s, but I must say that Ghana was incredibly comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful when he was in office back in the 90s when I visited. In fact, I went back to Ghana in 2012 and it was great, but it didn't compare to Ghana back in 1998. I definitely prefer the 1998 Ghana to the 2012 Ghana, personally. The people in 2012 were a bit more stressed, a lot more in a hurry, and not quite as welcoming and friendly as they were in 1998, but still a very beautiful country and a great time. Ghana is still my favorite place in the world, AND I MISS THE FOOD EVERY DAY!!! Best cuisine in the world in my opinion = 1) Ghana, 2) Creole food [Black America] 3) Nigerian, 4) Jamaican. And yes I would say that Ghanaian jellof is better than Nigerian, although Nigerians make my single favorite food dish in the world = Egusi Soup!!! But the Ghana cuisine flavor profile and the # of amazing dishes is the best I've seen, even better than my own culture cuisine, Creole food from Louisiana, USA.

Great and interesting vid on Accra. So, it looks like most or extended periods of this vid is on Jamestown. Jamestown is 'old' or colonial Accra - sometimes referred to as 'British Accra' - as it's where the British made their capital. It's the oldest settlement in the Accra region and serves as a historic shanty town for tourists nowadays, with its small but vibrant young community largely engaged in fishing via the old ways of doing so - wooden boats. For those who want to see how colonial Accra used to be, this is where locals advice to go visit but it doesn't represent modern Accra, I'd say. Thanks again, Tayo.

That intro was like a reveal trailer for GTA: Accra, so cool. I've been to most of the places featured, love Accra so much. Jamestown is the coolest place there is, so much culture from their fishing trade to their love of boxing and their art scene. Makola Market must be experienced too.

The guys in Baltimore, Maryland, usa, would love to know you have the FREEDOM to ride motorcycles like that without being harassed, locked up, or possibly killed by the police. The motorcycle crew is known as the 12'oclock boys. We watch them, as well as, take photos of them. You guys have absolute freedom that a lot of us over here can not comprehend.

To anyone from the continent of Africa, we are coming back home, please ignore trolls who think they speak for the 60 million African Americans. We are tired of the racism, injustice from racism, propaganda in racist form, a small group of black people (that includes, black judges male or female, entertainers, politicians, police officers) who hate themselves as well as trying to keep us down. The majority of us are just waking up to how beautiful Mama Africa is. We have been fed negative images of the continent of Africa and it's people, as well as, not being shown the progress of Africa, and it's potential to become a Super power nation once again.

@@gene7arttech Thank you for the positive comments ,you are welcome to Africa anytime. Despite the different challenges we face it's a beautiful place to visit and experience life different from USA.
