I really enjoyed Jason Shaw in the booth. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he seems like a light hearted and respectful guy. He and Billy had good chemistry.

8 BALL, yay! I get so sick of watching rotation, rotation, rotation. Banks, one pocket, straight pool, anything else is welcome. :-) "The cue ball will end up about two balls to the left of where it is now"...and then it does...telling. The 'stupid rack tricks' lesson was very interesting, too. You should welcome Jason back to the booth more often, great commentating.

I’ve never seen Darren so mad before that was crazy. Once you get into that frustrated mindset it’s hard to play on he lost this match starting from the first rack.

1:36:50. He's practicing the shot he missed on the 9 ball earlier in the set that rattled the pocket. Probably his only miss that "should" have gone in. He played very well.

This match has a little bit of everything on and off the table. At 1:05:19 he clearly committed a foul lol! Thought Darren wouldn't get so emotional and his break let him down. But still a great match and thanks Pat for adding another great video during these Covid days!

pause @33:15 and then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to go forward and back 5 sec and you can clearly see 6ball moved approx 5mm !!! IN FACT IF YOU GO FORWARD TWICE FROM THE PAUSE POINT IT MOVES TWICE LOL

A don't think that was a skid. An obvious skid is when the cue ball and object ball stick to eachother just enough so that the object ball does not cut enough. Usually dirt or chalk on one or both balls play a role.

After watching @ 34:00 about a bad ref interference. In reality the true interference was the accu rack do to it stopping the 8 from rolling away from the 6 . But you never hear commentary to that effect

Yeah, from both angles I could see no difference. If he didn't put the ball exactly where it was before, it had to be very close.

The balls were never touching, BUT they were a little closer after Carswell removed the template.

How else do you remove the rack? Shaw cried the whole match. He should get Darren's cue shaft out of his mouth

Yeah looking from the end of the table, there was a little under a half inch of daylight between the 6 and 8. After the ref removed the rack there was probably a little over a quarter inch. the 6 ball also moved a little bit towards the foot rail. I couldn't really tell if the 6 would or wouldn't pass but that seems like the sort of thing you have to accept if you use a racking template.
