This is the version I that I remember, and I thought it was a cool game at the time. And then you made your video about the Japanese "true" version, which I didn't know about before. I think I'm still a bit disturbed.

Thanks for watching it! Yeah, that was the idea, since my knowledge of AC3 was maximized due to translation work of the original Japanese version, it was best to showcase in everything in the Export version as well, since it's so different in terms of balancing.

Decided to see just how badly this was cut down, and there appears to be less content in this version of Ace Combat 3 than there is in Ace Combat 2. That was even worse than I expected.

30 missions in Ace Combat 2. 36 missions in export of Ace Combat 3. But to unlock absolutely everything, you're supposed to finish the game 3 times, unlike in 2, where twice is enough.

The mechanics and physics in this version are the same. But all planes are rebalanced to be faster to compensate for lack of friendlies.

It's mostly just the controller at the time; Playstation had nothing but the D-pad to use.

@@rocketpunchgo1 Some trivia about the controls is that the dpad is much more responsive than the analog sticks and this applies to both JP and US versions. Using analog kinda puts you at a disadvantage, even with narrowest neutral zone.
