But I've seen some such crazy examples of hate against Mihaly, that made me doubt people's sanity.

I don’t think Mihaly is Cipher, but if he is, it does makes sense. The Belkan war happened 25 years prior to the Eurasean-Osean war. Making Cipher up there in age. Plus he was a mercenary who flew under no particular flag.

Mihaly's border speech, being the only character to consider A World Without Border's philosophy that isn't Tabloid - an actual Belkan - it doesn't make much sense for a Shilagyian trying keep his tradition, heritage, and country alive or whatever remains of it, but he says it anyhow so somethings up with that. His loss of a homeland, mercenary work and disillusionment with borders might make more sense if he were Cipher experiencing what he did in AC0, makes sense why he'd consider it years later even when he's back in Shilage with his Shilage squadron. Both Mihaly and Cipher are described as terrifying and relentless predators, both love flying. You could interpret Mihaly's paintscheme as an inversion of Cipher's; light gray and blue tips to dark gray and reddish orange tips. There's the names too, the "X" in Mister X means, in mathematics, an unknown variable, Cipher means "secret" or "mystery" (and "zero" in older English); de-"cipher" means demystify. So there's tons of connections, even in their histories there's nothing to outright makes it impossible for them to be one person, Mihaly leaves the Shilage/Erusean airforce in 92' and works as a test pilot, but we know nothing of what he does in the rest of the 90's (AC0 starts in 95') until the events before AC4 in the 2000s. So only Word of God stating they're different people would make Mihaly and Cipher seperate characters.

Yeah I pretty much get this type of comment a lot. The reason why I used the novice controls first is because this was my first ac game and tbh expert was abit too much for me. However I do use expert controls for my subsequent play throughs of the game.

There's fully animated people on the ground in some take off sequences so I don't think it's that. More likely its a callback to how the old AC games mostly relies on still images for theor cutscenes and they wanted to evoke a similar feeling.
