Mission Report At approximately 1800 hours, gunfire over Shilage Castle was reported earlier than the battle was expected to start. Ground troops from both side watched the skies as an F-14 Tomcat, the pilot believed to be Maverick from the mysterious Ghostrider Squadron, engaged an X-02S Strike Wyvern, the pilot believed to be Archange or more popularly known as Mister X by the airmen or more formal known as Mihaly, over the castle. Archange was seen to have a laser cannon type mount on the underside of his aircraft. Strider Squadron, who was already flying in, got there just in time to see Ghostrider shoot the final killing blow on Archange, finally grounding the legendary pilot once and for all. Ghostrider was then spotted flying off before any of Strider Squadron could catch up. Currently, some people are calling Ghostrider a "guardian angel" or "an angel of death" depending on which sounded better. This fight singlehandedly put the castle in Osean control without fail, due to the Eruseans not having enough nearby aircraft to engage Strider. After the fight was over, Cyclops Squadron arrived with the cargo transports and successfully grabbed all the resources needed. The investigation to locate Ghostrider has failed and nobody has heard anything from Ghostrider since the battle. Where did Ghostrider even come from is the question on all the troop's lips, but nobody has the answer

I love how throught all playthough, Maverik was chill like he fights experimental 5 gen hypermaneurability fighter with the cutting-edge railgun every Tuesday.

A Coalition, they called it, but the pilots thought more of it as enemies of our enemies. Their purpose was to end this lasting war. But as Mihaly fell, they gained a new mission. End the drone production.

I love how you gave the AI some recognition.

Gotta say, this was fun to watch. If PA had released an entire DLC mission that has Mav, Rooster, and the other pilots from Maverick participating in the actual movie mission, that would've been so much fun to play. Every time I go through the Cape Rainy Assault I try to go as fast as I can through the canyon in both the original and movie variants of the F-18 A just to be like Mav in the movie.

I know it would be a minefield of issues, but "Outsie ace combat character fighting MIhaly" is something i hope to see more of.

New here, these little what ifs are 10/10. I really love the spliced lines, the "flashback" quotes, and the interactions between the pilots. These past character aces vs. Mihaly are just so much better with the effort you've put into these. Keep it up!

I'm at a loss for words at how great this is. The choreography, the editing, the narrative, the fact both Maverick & Goose (canonically) shot down Mihaly... all of it blends together into one of the best Ace Combat videos I've seen on this platform, and that's saying something.
