It's funny, Gene said that when he wrote "Deuce" that he was going from a Rolling Stones song called "Bitch" of which he used the song structure and a riff which resembles the original one. So when Ace did his audition for the band, the first song they taught him was "Deuce" and Ace said that he "Loved it from the first note." Ace, being a self-confessed Rolling Stones freak, probably recognized where the song came from and went "Ah, so you want this to be a Rolling Stones song, well I'm totally down with that!"

The unceremoniously put Tommy in the Lead guitar spot. Bruce has a long history with the band going back to the solo album days through Bob K. So, I can see where he is a bit more understanding. Bruce is Awesome, but he is NOT ACE. Aces sound will Always be what defines this band. Even their newest alb7m attempts fall WAY SHORT OF THE SOUND THEY ARE CAPABLE OF. Just look at Aces solo music post KISS. Far superior to KISS since his departure
