I was a teen during this time and didn’t care for it, but as a 40 something I’ve grown to love it. I found that metal musicians are the least pretentious, most down to earth people in music, and people expect them to be psychos. The real psychos are pop artists.

First time I saw this movie was at a friend’s house on spring break about a year after the movie came out - he lived in a tiny So Carolina village. I’d heard Corpse were in it but forgot about it. Then Alex’s bobbing head flashes on the TV screen & I perked up and said “Holy shit, that’s the guy I went to college with!” Alex & I were friends at Buffalo State & hung out wit a lot of scene ragers then.

Cannibal Corpse played on the 70k Tons of Metal cruise in 2018. There were fans on the cruise facebook page swearing that they would populate a full mosh pit in full Ace Ventura regalia, but I didn't see anyone dressed up walking around the ship, so idk if this blessed event actually took place (sad).
