Actually, when Blackbeard scared Shanks, he didn't have the fruit yet, Blackbeard probably had some other stuff going on for him that allowed him to hurt Shanks. Blackbeard is one of the most mysterious people on One piece

My theory is that the BB df has the power to absorb haki too since only his logia that cannot pass trough the body, but can absorb anything. Also he had three different personality and skills when luffy & zoro first met BB he said they/them and his jolly roger had 3 skulls and 8 bones means 3 personalites and 8 commander

Shanks received the scar from Blackbeard before he ate the Dark Dark fruit. Blackbeard stealing the fruit after killing Thatch is a fairly recent event, Shanks had his eye scar since episode 1, so for like more than 10 years.

There is only one fruit of each type. For example, luffys gum gum fruit is the only gum gum fruit in the world. Also a person can't hold more than one devil fruit power or they will die. Everything else devil fruit related is spoilery.

The Key Word to understand the end is “triggered” meaning that this fight itself is not a massive incident, but what it starts a chain of reaction to a massive incident that happened later in the future. Can’t wait for you guys to react and reach that point! Amazing reaction and review!

That massive incident the narrator mentions is a trigger to one of the biggest events to happen in the One Piece world thus far and introduces us to some very, very powerful characters. Also, Shanks tried to warn Whitebeard back in episode 316 that Blackbeard shouldn't be underestimated. This was why he wanted Whitebeard to call back Ace

In other anime, when they make a chapter 🌋🌋 that is not with the main characters, nobody sees it, but in One Piece you make a chapter with the secondary characters and it is very epic. 🌋

4:53, when shanks and Blackbeard fought; Blackbeard didn’t have a devil fruit. He only just stole this fruit and has been on the run since, so that should speak to how strong he is, even without the devil fruit, if he can hurt someone like shanks.

It's important to remember that logia users aren't technically "producing" their element (despite how it appears and often seems to be used), they are becoming it. So when Ace shoots out fire or Smoker creates a smoke screen, what they're actually doing is expanding themselves into their element. So Blackbeard can't "surround himself in darkness", he would be "expanding himself around himself", so he couldn't avoid damage that way as theorized. This is touched on much later, but it's not a big plot point or anything, more of a review.

3:20 it’s not the six powers exactly, just like luffy’s second gear, or the fact that he can keep up now in base form, it’s just a matter of being skilled or strong enough to perform it too. Like for example, sanji vs the wolf, he was still able to hurt the wolf even though he had iron body. And with his fight against Khalifa, he can keep up with her shave. So it’s like, yea it’s six powers but they ain’t learn the six powers, they are just fast enough to shave, strong enough to take a punch like iron body, can weave punches like paper smart, etc

Also logias usually automatically embraces its “untouchable form” if you will, as long as they are actively like up, sometimes they get caught lacking and get hit but it’s not that common I don’t think. So when ace got shot he wasn’t faster than a bullet, it’s just that buddy fucked up cuz he ain’t realize he was a logia type and that wasn’t gonna do anything, it was just gon make it clear you wanna fight lmfaoo

Blackbeard devil fruit works like this and y’all correct me if I’m wrong So the dark dark fruit is weird because it doesn’t let you phase thru attacks, because like Blackbeard said, along with darkness comes gravity and with that he can crush things and affect devil fruit users. He can draw people to him and I figure since he has a gravitational effect with his power and everybody is affected by gravity, he can catch anybody and everybody off guard with that, and make them normal. I think him having that effect makes him similar to sea prism stone itself and cancel out devil fruit powers

This is just a theory of how ace and blackbeard's fight can trigger a massive incident. What if ace lost and Blackbeard gave him to the world government to become a warlord. And world government announces that they will execute ace . And this leads to a war with Whitebeard and might even draw in shanks. I mean, it could happen? 😂

Remember without DF Blackbeard already make scar to shank who pair to pair have legends duel with mihawk. Maybe he didn't great in technic but somehow he find something to give shank hard time. And he can decive whitebeard so many years. This "power" more frightening than his DF.
