Sanji is by far my least favorite strawhat (for the record my second least favorite is chopper) HOWEVER. Sanji mostly prioritizes baddies cause 90% of one piece women are bbl double D small waisted women in the first place, however he does keep this same energy with any female ally such as kureha and kokoro so it's not completely accurate, at least pre-timeskip anyway since he doesnt protect shinobu as much as he protected the previously mentioned 2. Anyway!! The significance of the black maria moment was more due to sanji's willingness to both self-sacrifice especially for women and for the fact that robin especially needed protection (enies lobby) so this kinda goes against those 2 character notes which is why robin is delighted to help and why black maria's goons critique him so badly for asking for help as they dont realize the near 1000 chapters of build up between these 2 trading roles

1015 IS COMING BOYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS also, WC island did wonders to me for the Sanji bit. I was always annoyed by it but the fact that it was recontextualized from the overexaggerated chivalry to "If I hurt a woman it'd be as if I was hurting my father." is perfect. Is it annoying that he simps like crazy for enemy women? Yeah but at least I can accept that even if he didn't simp for them he wouldn't fight. Not gonna mention the next step on the character in case people watch along the reactions but again, perfect for the character.

2:39 Yeah Sanji has done that and it’s clear what the order is. Tier 1: Women on the crew Tier 2: “Hot” women in general Tier 3: “Ugly” women in general Tier 4: Male crew members Tier 5: Zoro Tier 6: Men in general

Tier 5 and 6 should switch actually. Sanji definitely cares about Zoro when it comes down to it, but Zoro is strong and can handle himself so in like 99.999% of situations he would choose to save any random man over Zoro, since he expects Zoro to handle himself most of the time. Zoro feels the same about Sanji.

i think in japan myths there is a fish climbing up a waterfall and become a dragon, see the equivalence of karpador->garados and wano kuni waterfall -> kaido

I swear a lot of people forget that Ace was in prison for so long with sea prism stone you can't just get powerful after wearing that for days, etc. Plus Black Beard did something to Ace while they were fighting. We didn'nt see the whole fight, and Hello.. he was going up against a dude who can control darkness and devil fruit whatever his power does.. plus he was not in the right mind set during marine ford he just didn't want to lose Luffy or another brother trying to save him. He always thought he was problematic but this is how some people in the world feel when there are loved ones surrounded them but they are too blinded by their doubts and not see how much loved they are by so many... Ace didn't show all his powers yet..

Just like Denjiro did with Kin'emon, it hurts to see Luffy & Jinbe think highly of Sanji for his "big-brain tactic" in thinking he went off cause he sensed a foe they can't sense, but in actuality he just went off cause he heard women which turned out to be a ruse of Black Maria's honey trap!!!!!!! I'm just gonna say this cause many like myself felt this same feeling before when this came up: 1st half of Wano Raid War doesn't look/reflect well on Sanji's behalf. > In case you're curious, Maria's Zoan is a Rosamygale Grauvogeli, which is a type of an ancient extinct prehistoric spider. Its full species name confused so many people when it was first released & introduced in the manga, so I figured it might help to give a bit of clarity of what it is since Maria is an ancient animal zoan user {which makes sense for hers to be an ancient type too since all of Kaido's top pirate executives are Ancient Zoan Users} - What made Marco prove to me that he is definitely OP strong was shown in the flashback in this episode: with Marco taking Bites out of a Pineapple with the skin still on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ace's tattoo was supposed to be ASL, buti think it hurt to much after Sabo "died" and he changed it to look like he misspelled his own name. The whole Ace, Crybaby etc doesn't make sense in japanese, only in English. So nah.
