The way the Acela is introduced as it first pulled into Boston is the way every transit project in America should be welcomed.

I love how Michael Dukakis is saying our airports are a mess in 2000. Oh buddy, you have no idea that in just a couple of months the whole entire aviation industry in America will be turned upside down.

@supermarionathan14262 жыл бұрын
Well the Avelia Liberty isn’t Amtrak’s first high speed train. It’s their second one!
@goldgamercommenting29905 ай бұрын
@@supermarionathan1426but avelia liberty is technically part of the avelia series of European TGV And the liberty model is an American version and fell in the Acela branding. So we have an American TGV that will assist in Acela service and beat metro liner time tables once more You can tell it’s a TGV because of how it’s arranged and it’s iconic and obviously horn

They will continue running slower corridor schedules once the Avelia fleet is accepted.
@AVeryRandomPerson3 жыл бұрын
@@trainluvr The Acela sets can't run Northeast Corridors due to turns and a lack of steps. It would mess up the whole schedule to have some Acelas that couldn't operate when they had a Virginia turn.

If Acela's Current Retied In Next Few Years, I Hope Some Of Them Are Preserved Just Like First Shinkansen From JNR Era, & The Remaining Are Used As Special Train Or Moved To Indonesia & Changed It's Gauge From 1,435 MM (4 FT 8 1⁄2 IN) To 1,067 MM (3 FT 6 IN).
