Your video was so helpful !! I already upgraded the ram and changed to SSD, I stayed with Windows 7 x32. I want to use this laptop for school but I have had some problems to install some programs that I need, because most of them ask Windows 8, 9 or 10, and other ask x64 bits. I already checked and i have a x64 based processor, so I would like to know if you would recommend me to do the change or what would be the best for my situation. Thank you so much!! :)

This netbook only supports 2gb single channel. Hey, can i ask what is the optimal ram speed compatible on this netbook? is it ddr3 1066mhz, 1333mhz or 1600mhz?

you can try placing 4gb ram dim but its really hard to find the right ram that works , because it will not accept any 4gb rams. we tried many brands and models and only the old Samsung 4gb got accepted. but you can do "virtual ram" paging and that will ease the pain

🫠Regarding your question, if you watched the video i have mentioned the type of the ram: "SDRAM DDR3L 1600MHz" and the brand doesn't matter it can be any brand, and the link for a compatible ram is linked in the video description as it was mentioned in the video. cheers🍻

Please Help! I’ve been installed an A-Tech 4gb Ddr3L (the same as you recommend in description) but it doesn’t work on my acer aspire one d255e. It is a BIOS issue?

we do install 4GB A-tech on this laptops very frequently, it does happen that sometimes when the bios is very old it won't read over 2GB. check this link and see what is the max that it can read: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrF1fbecu9rMZIU.html something could be wrong with bios or you chip set that is not auto detecting the ram. try updating the bios.

Do you know what could be the reason for my Aspire One D255E to not work after I upgraded the RAM to 2GB? I can turn it on but the screen stays dark. By the way, great video!

this laptop are not for gaming, if you run games you will damage the cpu, i wish i could tell you that you could but nop. BUT maybe some retro games you could play without any issue. I would appreciate your support to the channel by a sub :P

Easier to pay a tech and it’s done in 5 min rather than strip your computer

Yes, it is definitely faster to have a technician perform the upgrade when you pay for their services. I can upgrade this within a few minutes for my clients. However, some people enjoy exploring and doing it themselves, which is why the video is intended to provide step-by-step guidance for them.
