The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a solid gaming laptop for the price it comes in at. It can handle pretty much any game on higher settings with well over 60 frames per second. For less-demanding esports titles, the GTX 1060 and the 144Hz refresh rate monitor combine to deliver an ideal in-game experience.
The cooling and battery life are subpar, but in this price range you probably won't find options that handle those areas much better.
Overall, if you have ~$1,000 to spend on a gaming laptop, the Predator Helios 300 is a worthy option to consider.

G-sync does not help with stuttering, it helps with tearing. :( Tearing is when the next frame is partially rendered when the screen needs to display the next frame. With V-sync on, it will show you the last fully rendered frame, which gets rid of tearing, but since its not sending the latest frame (or part of a frame), it adds to input latency. With vsync off, it creates screen tearing. G-sync lets the monitor refresh once the frame is done, so you get rid of tearing without the added input latency of vsync.

It is very nice laptop, but definitely lacking in storage. Most anyone will want another 250 gb ssd or larger to add to it. Thank you for the giveaway and good luck everyone! :)

I clicked on the lionk on the giveaway and it sent me through to Amazon where they have "Extra empty accessible slot for 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD" in the description. So you could easily fit in anything from a 500GB SSD or larger if you wanted more fast storage

@@salaheldeenshata2084 they didn't show any details yet but price is 1199, thinner bezels, blue theme instead of red, 4th gen aero blades for fans, 1x 3.1 type c gen2 usb. Don't kniw about thermals yet, hopefully it is better than the last gen. You can inprove it by repasting thermal paste using grizzly kryonaut and undervolting. All laptops with 8th gen and 9th gen cpu are hot, only laptop I know that runs cool is triton 500, helios 500 and zephyrus but all of them are expensive.
