Everything you'll need comes with it, with the exception of Windows. You can download Windows for free, but you'll need to download it onto a USB flash drive (need one that is at least 8GB). Here's instructions on how to do so: www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11 The motherboard does come with a wifi adapter, but I had to update the board's drivers before it actually recognized the adapter. And Microsoft makes it hard to install Windows if you don't have an internet connection, so I recommend either getting a different wifi adapter, or using a hardwire connection for the initial setup, then you can use the wifi adapter that came with the motherboard after you update drivers. I've ran the 1440P benchmarks for Fortnite: Epic Preset: 57 FPS High Preset: 88 FPS Med. Preset: 115 FPS Performance: 190 FPS Will run the 1080P benchmarks tomorrow.

If a pc comes with windows 10 that’s all that really needs to be said, it’s to old to windows 11. While I agree this is not that great of a PC the buyer needs to do their homework. When friends ask me about a pc purchase I always tell then if it’s windows 10 walk away as it’s going to be older hardware.

@TechGuided
@TechGuided 15 күн бұрын
Yes you can, but you'll also need to swap the motherboard for an LGA 1700 socket micro-ATX motherboard. That would either be an H610 or B660 chipset board. A B660 board will probably be tough to fit in a $500 budget unless you find a good deal. H610 will run the 12400F fine, but will limit your upgrade potential a bit. But you have basically the same problem if you stick with the Ryzen 5 5500 and the A520 chipset board we chose.

It’s really not hard as most things only plug in one way, the only thing that is semi a pain is doing the switches but really not as bad as I’m making it sound. I use my iPad and find the motherboard manual online that way I can pinch and zoom any connection I may need questioning . Building now versus when I built my first pc over 30 year’s ago, you used to make sure all the jumpers were in the right position assign com ports, dma channels and Irq’s but now that’s almost always done in the bios now no physical switches to assign. Make sure you use a quality power supply, if it’s wrong then it won’t turn on. Once you let the smoke out you can’t put it back in. I easily saved $700 on my last build for my personal pc, watch videos and read up then if you have a micro center near you go there, micro center I’ve found to be a great resource and you have those tech guys that enjoy sharing their knowledge with you.

One thing that prevented me from building my own pc for so long was the idea that these pc components will break if you so much as look at them the wrong way, but they are actually pretty resilient. Building my first pc in an ITX case had me contorting my wrists in ways they haven’t been before and I fumbled some parts multiple times thinking there’s no way it will boot when I’m finished. But it did, and after 2 years I’m selling that one so I can build another one 😂

Very good point! There is definitely some fear involved with handling and installing PC components, especially if you've never done it. And, agreed, mini-ITX builds can be tricky. I'd say it's not worth getting any of the STGAubron PCs or other similar PCs. The biggest issue with these PCs is the motherboard tends to fail which will render the entire computer usable and it's believed the STGAubron uses a KingFast SSD similar to a lot of PCs sold by STG Global/STGAubron, SJ Computers, TecDale, and TechMagnet on Amazon which are known to fail. The "600M" Wi-Fi adapter is likely to be one of those no-name Wi-Fi adapters using the Realtek chipset which are known to not perform well and most sellers opt to use 802.11n which will lead to slow download speeds and may affect network performance in multiplayer games. Lastly, the gaming keyboard, mice, and even headsets aren't very good quality as they're the no-name brands rather than name brands, some keyboards don't even use the correct shaped Enter key (it should be wider instead of taller). The "renewed" gaming PCs have similar reasons to the above except these PCs may also come with weak/outdated GPUs like the GT 1030 which doesn't meet modern games' system requirements. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 lists the GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB and Hogwarts Legacy lists the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4 GB for their minimum system requirements. At GT 1030 running modern games like these will most certainly lag. I feel the performance of the Intel Core i5-4570 and DDR3 memory is going to be noticeable with modern titles especially those designed for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. The Haswell PCs are OK for older eighth generation titles (PS4/Xbox One) or games with more lenient system requirements like Minecraft and The Sims 4 but for modern ninth generation titles (PS5/Xbox Series), it's probably better to have a PC with DDR4 such as Intel Core 6th Gen or AMD Ryzen to get better performance. There's one thing to be aware about these PCs when installing Windows 11, some games like VALORANT, League of Legends, and Madden NFL 24 will refuse to run on these PCs due to lack of TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot which these PCs will not have. The reason why they ran on this PC as seen in 8:38 and 9:17 was because it was running Windows 10.

@@Vapixed I would say so. The STGAubron PCs may be decent given it has a 4th Gen Intel Core processor and a video card like the Radeon RX 580 as opposed to the Alarco having a GTX 650/750 or some of the PCs having a GT 1030 although with caveats like the Wi-Fi not being good quality. However, the quality issues and old hardware make it not worth getting. Besides the poor quality peripherals and the questionable quality of the components, the biggest issue is the motherboard is known to fail which is a common problem with these pre-built PCs from sellers like Alarco and STGAubron. I've also read the SSD on the STGAubron also is said to use a KingFast SSD (the same SSD that many renewed/refurbished PCs are sold with) that tends to fail. If the STGAubron had a better motherboard and had better quality components and peripherals, it would be a decent PC aside from the lack of Windows 11 support and the performance issues with modern 2020s games seen in the video. While $500 may be cheap for a gaming computer, there are better products around $500 such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, the Steam Deck OLED 512 GB for $549, or even the ROG Ally.

Been on a 2017 dell XPS 15 laptop (Pushing it to it's limits with 3D Rendering) and now I'm looking at building my first PC. That last point about seeing the community and perhaps not building right away is where I currently stand, I'm hooked and have been doing research for weeks and spending a lot of time putting together lists on PCPartPicker. I'm looking at getting a RTX 4070 Super and AMD R9 7900 CPU for Gaming/3D Rendering and I'm seeing reviews (moreso debates and comparisons) that mean almost nothing considering the big jump I'm taking, while still trying to not go past my budget. I get joy out of just that alone right now. It's always been a thing to see or hear about the greatness that is the PC Master Race and Nvidia, Intel or AMD, but I never really looked too much into it because of my preconceived notions (It's expensive or too Difficult), but actually researching parts and watching Build videos and learning more in-depth about it, I don't feel that way anymore. I'm not quite sure when I'm going to build one, but I know for sure It'll be my next big purchase.

@TechGuided
@TechGuided 19 күн бұрын
The goal with the system was to build something that could get the maximum performance at 1440P resolution with a $1,000 budget. Obviously, you can't fit a 5800X3D and 7800 XT into a build at that price. I don't know why you would choose to pair the 5600 with the 7700 XT with a $1,000 build and leave performance on the table, but maybe something like a 7600(X) + 7700 XT would be an interesting combo to compare to the 5600/7800 XT. In any case, I have a Ryzen 5 7600 system, and by every benchmark I've seen, that should be a decent comp to the 5800X3D. So, I'll put the 7800 XT in that system and re-bench and see how big of a performance gain there is.

@@TechGuided because it doesnt make sense to build an INBALANCED systems. The money you spend on a 7800 is not worth it when paired with a 5600, its bad financial advice here. You can either save money for an awesome 1080p experience with a 7700 XT along the 5600 or you invest a little more and upgrade to a 5700/5800x3D with a 7800 XT. You build a gaming experience which neither hits the proper 1080p or 1440p value as it should be cause youre leaving money on the table not using the GPU fully for 1440p with to weak of a cpu. Its a bad mix between the cpu and gpu not using the budget correctly!

@TechGuided
@TechGuided 20 күн бұрын
Hmm, I'm not 100% sure on how the A580 will handle PCVR. The one downside of ARC GPUs is that, since Intel is new to the GPU market, they're sort of playing catch up in optimizing for the variety of games and applications available. My guess is that you'd be better off opting for either an RX 6600 or RTX 3050,---both slightly mor expensive than the A580---as AMD/NVIDIA will likely offer better support for what you're looking to do. I think NVIDIA offers the better VR support, but the 3050 trails behind the 6600 and A580 in traditional gaming performance.

I would like to give you some of my feedback and potentially see if we're a good fit. Mind hopping on a quick call for this? I am specialized in Video Editing and i can help you to improve your video editing style and your YT thumbnails. There are a few more ideas i would love to discuss on a call.
