Here's a challenge for your next video... Re-direct your hand movement in the opposite direction of your normal flow :D aka, instead of moving hands up during "what's up guys", move them down... you also have to speak in reverse for at least 3sec during this challenge.

I have this monitor, and I love it! My only gripe is that mine only gets to a stable 95hz(still amazing). I think the next steps for Gsync monitors are 3440x1440@144hz and 4K@100hz. I won't be upgrading unless that happens.

its 100hz which is really good especially for the size of the screen.I rather have a ultrawide for better game immersion than the extra hz.I don't see any need for 144hz unless you are MLG pro in tournaments.the extra 44hz is barely any difference.If it was below 100hz I don't think it would be worth it.As far as overclocking past 100hz,I'm not sure you can.

i had a 60hz one in the first, then switched to 144. When i see a 100hz, its a bit weird :s cuz 144 feels sooo smooth and fluffy :D

Norry Rampage currently not possible with 21:9 aspect ratio under display port 1.2. when dp 1.4 becomes the norm it won't be an issue

I can't imagine the review being much different for the P. Most likely the same display but with a 3800R curve (double the curve of the current gen x34) and it comes stock at 100hz. Oh and the OSD buttons are replaced with a nubby joystick at the rear.

100Hz right from the start,curvature has been increased to 1900R from 2200R. The smaller the number, the steeper the curve.

Thats false. Oled isnt the only panel that supports HDR. Oled is basicly exclusively used by LG at the moment, but all manufacturers have HDR TVs out. Infact, there isnt even an consumer Oled Monitor out right now. HDR is supported by Displayport 1.4 and HDMI 2.0a, which this monitor doesnt have.

***** Dudeguy, Hz is a diminishing return for what is perceivable and ends around 120hz for "most" people, Nearly anyone can easily tell 60hz/fps over say 100hz/fps in a CASUAL game like GTA 5. Its a utter utter myth higher hz only benefits hard core First Person shooter players.

Battleneter your opinion is clearly one of someone who has never used a 120Hz + monitor, it is extremely noticeable. It's like trying to explain the concept of colour to a colourblind person, it's hard to do and they cannot truly understand it unless they have experienced it themselves. Buy a 144hz monitor, see the difference.

MrPhantomFury, i remember asus rog models having lot more problems than acer predator, like issues with worse backlight bleeding. Plus acer was here first. I got my x34 year ago, maybe quality issues have changed so please correct me if i am wrong. Anyway at the end of the day they are pretty much same panel so you can't really say one is better than another.

Got the X34a about a week ago and it's the best monitor I've used, seriously it's just crazy good guys. I was feeling depressed when I kept thinking about the money it cost but once you have it up and running you won't care and it's well worth the money!

had my predator x34 for about 6 months, I absolutely have fallen in love with it, the best monitored I've ever owned, plus its good that a lot of developer's are supporting 21:9, only had a couple of games that didn't support the resolution, but was still able to find a work around ☺

I saw this beast firsthand when I had a chance to visit Tokyo. It really is a gorgeous monitor, but only for people who can spend that much. Can't wait to see more 34" curved displays like this in the future! Hopefully the competitors will carry a much more reasonable price then as well.

I'm really interested in more information about aspect ratios and how to work with them on things that don't run them native, you poked the subject for a moment but it would be cool to see it discussed maby in a video or upcoming live stream? Mostly running them or using methods to make them "fit" the ratio.

i got a predator x34 a few months ago. it's a dream. only problem iv been having is some games can't run 21:9. looking at you Bethesda. also, that desk space. gotta wall mount it just to have work space. weighs like 35 pounds

Joe Goudeau, i've had this monitor for like a year also and i must say i was curious and went and bought xb1 165hz for shooters. Turned out that difference between 100hz and 144hz (or 165) is so minimal that xb1 sits now on secondary computer. X34 easily better experience.

Hz is a diminishing return where what is perceivable appears to end around 120hz max for most people, VERY few people would be able to tell the difference between 100 and 165 consistently if blind tested.

Battleneter, Agree. although i could straight away see the difference, i just didn't care that much for such a minor improvement. And having these monitors side by side for a year, nowadays i really don't care at all.

Thanks for doing the review, good to know its actually closer to 1440p, intersting. I'm divided on this one, the Asus PG348Q, or add a PG279Q to my 1080p for a 2 monitor display. So confused. Nice clean setup bro, what mousepad is that?

I have 3 monitors the central is 120Hz TFT panel and the other two are Dell IPS, so I have all my needs covered, 1 monitor for gaming and 2 for color accuracy.

When this monitor dropped it seemed out of stock everywhere except for choice reviewers and I think even some of them had to ship it back after only a few days since it was just a loaner unit. I wanted it so badly I had all the money saved up and I waited and waited and waited, probably three months and still no where was it in stock (except perhaps at a crazy high markup). So when Newegg had a sale of the LG 34" 3440x1440 60Hz panel that this one comes from I jumped on it and aside from the occasional screen tear in the center (it appears as if two monitors are connected side by side) I absolutely love it. Now I'd love to jump up to 100Hz refresh rate on 21:9 but for now I'll wait for the next generation of these bad boys to hit the market. The X34P that was hinted looks nice as it's 100Hz out of the box, but I'm curious what displays we'll see when DP1.4 becomes more wide spread. :) Awesome review though.

I love my XR341CK. I need to upgrade my rig to push the pixels, but the screen is gorgeous. The same panel, and FreeSync for 200-300 less monies is also nice. =)

I've had this monitor for about a year myself - I still really love it and although I do consider looking for something with a higher refresh rate,. going back to anything under 34" @ 21x9 would cramp my style I think. These went for right around 1500 when they first came out so the price did come down a bit - I think I saw 1200 ish
