The Honkai equivalence of HSR is actually the Yaozoru-no-Kami attacking her planet from Takamagahara (the trailer said that Takamagaraha used to be just as beautiful as Izumo BEFORE they got attacked by the Kami, so it was also a victim). This matches how in HI3rd the Honkai attacked all planets in the solar system prior to Earth, destroying Venus and almost wiped out Mars about 1 billion years BC. The 12 Kami that Izumo people killed are 1:1 reference to the Herrschers in HI3rd and the blades are the Divine Keys. Acheron (bearer of Origin) defeating Shiraga Oni (bearer of End) in the trailer is the moment the Honkai is defeated (transcending Finality - the End, in Hi3rd). That is also why she recognized Welt's name and the power of his cane since it matches the 9th sword mentioned in the trailer. In HI3rd, Kevin (the man Welt mentioned) is the final boss standing in the way of the main Trio Bronya, Kiana, Mei who got defeated by them for Kiana to ascend to godhood. Kevin has the question of why do birds fly, and the Trio surpassed him, fly towards the sun. But in Acheron's version of the story, Kevin (Shiraga Oni) was killed by her alone (Origin and End both broken in the trailer). And the final bird, as she told Welt in that scene, fly up to the sun only to find out that it's actually a black hole. In short, if things went correctly like HI3rd, Acheron should have ascended like Kiana after defeating her version of Kevin. But unfortunately everything got consumed by the black hole, nobody won. Tragic.

As like Acheron said, they have no face, no will, and no emotions. Her being an Emanator is a complete coincidence. That's what sets Nihility from other Paths as the Aeons themselves gets to choose their Emanators. IX cannot be reasoned with, they are indiscriminate, and they have no care to anyone and anything.

if the black hole of acherons homeworld was IX itself....then the 2 eyes might not be eyes but rather the 2 planets a key takeaway in the acheron welt dialogue is when welt talks about the fight against the wielder of the end [finality] [kevin]; acherons response was that she was alone when she beat him... so acheron's kiana and bronya were dead furthermore the tale intrigued acheron, because of the key similarties to her own but the different outcome; for the tiniest of embers that seek hope still burn within her, the final strand of color in her otherwise monochromatic world and afterwards she would share that spark of hope with kakavasha, whom also lost everything and was but steps away from his end

Acheron is not only an Emanator of IX, she's also a Self-Annihilator. When people glimpse IX themselves they lose their meaning of existence, they lose things about themselves. In Acherons case her memories. One of the Doctors of Chaos says even just looking at IX can make you lose reason and thought. This is the reason why nobody knows a lot about IX, you cant get close enough without losing yourself. Pretty much makes him one of the most dangerous Aeons.

I don't know if i agree with some of the stuff said in this video. Acheron herself said that IX favors and looks upon no one. Only those who gone under IX shadow can go farther and tainting themself with more Nihility. I think her becoming an Emenator was more accidentally rather than purposefully. So in that sense it also wouldn't make sense for Acheron to fight for IX. She didn't want to become a Emenator.

It’s rather … intriguing how in-depth were being shown about the Path of Nihility, and from what we’ve seen, it’s essentially the manipulation and/or manifestation of an inevitable ending. Star rail really seems to be the ying to 3rd's yang. I mean, you also look at himeko. Shes basically the opposite of acheron/mei. She got to live the life impact 3rd's himeko was denied. Also acheron seems to imply this universes welt is dead. Possibly by her own hand.

Boothill doesn't really know much about Acheron aside from her being an Emanator. He clearly said " though i don't really know what you are or what you're up to" in the telephone with BS. He must've met her at one point, maybe in a gathering of Galaxy Rangers. He must've gotten suspicious of a new face, assuming he remembers GR's faces, then he must've investigated her, found out she was an emanator of nihility or maybe he doesn't know yet what path but clearly not of the hunt path and now he's after her bc he wants to fight her and get an answer out of her. He probably just assumed she's up to no good bc she's pretending to be something she's not. The guy probably doesn't even know what Acheron is capable of. But that's not really gonna stop him, he's definitely just the type of dude who would fight anyone despite knowing he doesn't stand a chance. So really, it's not that he thinks he can beat her, he just wants to fight bad guys no matter how powerful they are. Also Acheron is definitely not the type to just kill anyone lol especially not someone who's on the side of justice like Galaxy Rangers, we literally see her trying to spare Duke Inferno.

The original Hakushin Raiden Mei is from _GunGirlZ_ , and there she and Kiana Kaslana and their friends go through multiple samsara fighting the Honkai, most often losing and triggering another kalpa and samsara. They have even had samsara where they beat the Honkai, but still led to another rebirth. The view of the Honkai shared in _Introduction to the Honkaiverse_ as a purely destructive force is outdated and oversimplified. To sum up without spoiling, the Honkai are a manifestation of a wish to bring other beings closer to the Imaginary Tree that makes up much of the Honkaiverse in an embrace, however most of the time this results in destruction. In order to attempt the embrace again, another samsara cycle is triggered, giving the people of the world in question another chance. This is what happens repeatedly in both _GGZ_ and _Honkai Impact 3rd_ . We also have another case of losing to the Honkai and failing the embrace in the form of Mars and Langqiu. Now, given that both a loss to the Honkai and a victory over the Honkai without succeeding in the embrace can lead to another samsara cycle, let's address Izumo: With Izumo forging the Edict Edge / Sentinels from the bodies of defeated Kami, we have an easy parallel with the ancient, advanced civilization of Mu that existed in the Previous Era of Earth's past, 50,000 years prior to the start of _HI3_ 's game. Provided the timelines line up fully, this would make Acheron a parallel to that era's Dr. MEI. This lines up because she also had a Kevin, not a Kiana. MEI and the Bearers of the other 11 Sentinels succeeded in defeating up to the Kami of Corruption on their own. According to the JP version of _Kyoden_ , there was even a period of peace where they determined they no longer needed the Sentinels, and broke them down. However this was followed by the other bearers becoming corrupted and turned into zombies by the lingering effects of the Kami of Corruption, as well as probably the effects of _Maw_ . They turned on MEI, and she had to slay them. Izumo then reforged the broken Sentinels, but there were now only two possible bearers, who also became part of the forging process, to overcome the lingering effects of the Kami of Corruption, and also to face the Finality. _Origin_ and _End_ may have had to be forged together, in a pair, so Oni (Kevin) stole the Authority of the End in order to prevent a real manifestation of the Kami of the End from appearing, and fused with the sword called _End_ . MEI was then able to defeat _End_ using _Origin_ , and both blades broke. In this way, Izumo defeated its Herrschers and the Honkai, but failed in its embrace. In addition, IX's gravity had drawn the two worlds too close, and swallowed up even their histories. MEI, on instinct from her long war, used her own power to reforge _Origin_ as _Life_ , and struck at IX, but could not cut them. It was at that time that she was changed into Acheron, and _Life_ changed to _Naught_ . But her last lines in _Kyoden_ are "and yet," which would seem to indicate a lingering optimism regarding future possibilities. It seems Acheron is still seeking Life and Finality. On another note, it's interesting to me that Acheron recognizes _Star of Eden_ in its cane form as something similar to one of the Sentinels her companion used to wield. But does she recognize that Welt Yang bears the power of True Reason? Bronya Zeychik apparently gave him both _Star of Eden_ and the Herrscher Core before he left to protect Himeko. I wonder, since I haven't played through 2.1 yet.

Awesome breakdown of Raiden Mei and Acherons connections! Another thing about Acheron and why she is able to envelop her self with so much nihility is because of her unwavering will to succeed regardless of how bleak the outcome seems. All Raiden's embody this ideal and Acheron's is very unique because I believe it is the reason she is able to siphon so much power from IX when the average self annihilator would most likely become consumed by the nihility. One of the passages in her character story is from the doctors of chaos that explains that Acheron is such a mystery because she has walked so much farther down the path of nihility and it doesn't seem to affect her the same way it does to others. They question her about this and she doesn't respond, implying that she is confident, insanely mentally strong, and her past as one of the 12 sentinels has prepared her to walk further down that path than many others ever could. Her sword of naught that it seems she has reforged herself with the tragic memories of her past must play a role in why she is able to live while being so far deep into IX's abyss. Acheron is truly a mystery and by far one of my favorite well written characters of all time. Can't wait to learn more about her in upcoming quests!

What happens when you combine real (physical) numbers with imaginary numbers…. You get complex numbers. I presume there are beings much stronger than Aeons; most likely they utilize complex power derived from complex numbers.

Followers of the hunt have traditionally taken on emanators. The high cloud quintet took out an abbundance emmanator. They didnt kill it entirely i beleive though, its the reason blade is immortal.

I don't think IX is the honkai equivalent of star rail, I think its different because he doesn't want to do anything let alone get involved with Acheron's world. Its probably more accurate to say that "Terminus, Aeon of Finality" travels through time and through worlds he touches, they become part of an "Experiment" -- Acheron talks about worlds similar to her, with familiar faces and all. As for what that experiment is it's to create an Emanator of Finality; Kiana or Kevin. APHO briefly mentions that earth is trying to harness "The Finality" as an energy source, maybe that's what Terminus intends for them to do because they're trying to prepare people for something, trying to create more Emanators of Finality/The End, to do battle with something highly powerful (possibly Nanook since he's regarded as the final antagonist of HSR). At the very least I'm pretty sure Terminus is pretty involved in Hi3, the only difference with Acheron's world is that things went horribly wrong: If they just lost to their version of the Honkai, things would just loop back around. But that didn't happen, and instead: IX or a manifestation of him (Possibly another Self-Annihilator who got reduced into nothingness/a blackhole), wandered too close to her world. At the very least the Cocoon of Finality has the power to reverse time and create a new outcome based on the events that it keeps an eye on, but if an outside force strong enough enters and renders its authority meaningless; IX's influence, then the world will simply fall apart and end. But what it can do is revert the outcome again and again and again, Endlessly until one day, someone with the power to defeat the target (before it was the Honkai/Kami, and now--), in this case the blackhole, would appear. That is Acheron, who wields a sword known as Naught. I mainly say that part cause that's pretty much what happened in Hi3, history repeated itself again and again endlessly, until the right circumstances appeared where Kiana, Raiden Mei, and Bronya, were there to do battle against Deliverance Kevin. This is all just theory though.

Somewhat unrelated, but Raiden Ei kinda follows the whole fighting against the destruction of civilization theme as well. Her number 1 goal is eternity. To preserve things as they currently are. To fight against erosion, which is kind of genshins version of the honkai.

The more i learn about Acheron the more i think Kafka might be an Emanator too except her Nihility comes from her inability to feel fear.

I feel like the Trailblazer is bound to change Acheron's fate at some point. The Nihility is there is no way forward, only the end awaits. Meanwhile the Trailblaze is all about making your own way forward, there is no end, only the journey. So far on the Astral Express we have a Scion of Permanence(essentially one half of an emanator of permanence, Bailu being the other half), we have March who is likely to have ties to or to BE a fallen Aeon herself(perhaps beauty, perhaps remembrance, there is evidence for both), and we have the Trailblazer, who is most definitely going to wind up being empowered by multiple Aeons, be it by their will or no; Trailblazer has been acknowledged by both Nanook and Qlipoth, soon to be Harmony. Still believe that Trailblazer is being set up to be the linchpin for "defeating the final boss." In order to Trailblaze one must be able to DESTROY things barring their path, PRESERVE those things they're leading down the trail(friends, supplies, equipment), and be able to keep HARMONY amongst their expedition team or to be able to Harmonize with those they meet along the way if possible. Also sidepoint, Welt has faced instances of would be Nihility in the past, and could even be an emanator himself in this case and not know it(ingame paths may not mean 100% that's what the character embodies but... ie Jing Yuan is the Hunt, not the Erudtion); the fact his power stems from a Black Hole is suspicious at best.

What is up with her saying “nor will my home be as fortunate as your world” to Welt? Is the future tense there just a poor translation? Or is she for some weird reason saying it in future tense in reference to the end of when she tells him her story? (Which would be a pretty weird way to phrase it). Or is she not just traveling world but trough time and space completely? Also “encountering “old friends” with familiar faces on different worlds” as if she saw multiple versions of Izumo’s destruction?

What’s interesting to me is that With IX there’s two kinds of nihility followers the doctors of chaos and self annihilators. The doctors of chaos sees the world as meaningless and get inspired by it. this is the only safe way to be a follower of IX . If you believe idea of nihilism but seek to combat it, you become a self annihilator That’s why Acheron doesn’t even believe in nihility because despite being an emanator she’s a self annihilator, someone who’s tortured by nihilism. It’s also interesting because Acheron is the only nihility character to do burst damage which makes sense as all the other nihility characters seem more like the doctors of chaos. I think for one thing is there is a lot of themes that goes into all of the roles in the game.

I still don't understand. What is an emanator? Is it like an archon? I haven't played HI3 I tried, but the gameplay is just not for me. The story of star rail is a bit vague to me in general. I just hold myself onto the idea that we're on a journey to find out what the mc is here for. Maybe I need to find more info on the story.

A question: can Acheron be redeemed? The connection to Nihility is based on the premise of the worthlessness of existence. If she were to be convinced -- even to a tiny degree -- that there *is* value in something, is that enough to break the connection with Nihility? Or is she doomed? And are we doomed to eventually treat her as the Adversary to all existence that she must become?

First Acheron and welt are in the same universe and second what happen on Acheron world was not the honkai but actually a other planet that was close to her in the orbite of the black hole and they were migrating to Acheron world to space the eminent destruction on them by the black hole and all the similarities between hi3 world and Acheron world are nothing more them similarities but not at the same level
