We had a message on a whatsapp rescue group. The first location sent was incorrect, but was soon updated.
A heavy Mercedes Off Road Camper had got stuck in a difficult location.
A number of people arrived to assist, in particular a gentleman in an impressive unimog 400.
The Camper was deiven by a gentleman touring the africa and the Middle East. The Camper had been laid up in Namibia for 4 years.
There was concern that the Camper could roll if moved. It was therefore anchored to athree pick up trucks before being pulled backwards.
The Camper moved back and turned perpendicular to the downgrade and was then able to drive down and out.

In the sand tyre pressure determines everything…. I have seen 4x4’s stuck where Peugeot pick-ups (2wd…) drove past…. In soft sand your tyres should look half-deflated… the difference is unbelievable!! On half deflated tyres you can not drive fast for long (they will overheat and disintegrate) also you can easily break them on stones so make sure you inflate them again when necessary!!

When there is only soft sand, you do with it. Getting stuck is just part of the journey; nothing special.

هذول مثل اللي يقول: مسوي زحمة والشارع فاضي. ماكان يحتاج كل هالوقت والحركات. هو بنفسه يرجع للخلف واليسار للارض المستوية، ليصبح متوازن. ثم يسحبوه للامام بعد مايتوازم وضعه.

هذا لو كان جيب او ونيت ارتفاعه عن الارض قليل. زي عذا ارتفاعه عالي اي ميلان وزن الكبينه بيجبره ينقلب. فا لو لف يسار ممكن يمشي بس فيه احتمال كبير بنفس الوقت ان وزن الكبينه يجبر المفرات الخلفيه تطيح يسار زياده وتنقلب الشاحنه.

He's actually lucky he got it stuck... he was 6 more feet away from tipping the entire thing with him in it. I'm sure the costs would have been greater if the sand dunes allowed his stupidity to go further in driving where he drove. Nice RV anyway dude 😃💪🤙
