This version is so much more adorable than the original, it kinda tones down the viscerality of the gore. It definitely has thosw visceral moments, but now there's far more dissonance between the anatomy and appearances of the characters in comparison to what's going on. I mean, come on, I can't take Pinkamena tearing out Dash's lungs seriously wheb she's got the most adorable smile on!

Your use of color to story tell and contrast the 'happy/normal scenes' vs the violent ones is so amazing and intentional and just awesome design and direction.

I love the change of colors through out this animation, it really shows that in the gore scene the colors are intense and bright while in the baking scenes they're soft to show the happiness of those parts. I love this so much, i'd say it's like the original but you added your own flare to make it different at the same time.
