Pimples definitely seem more disrespectful now that I've FINALLY got my skin clear.

Guess I was one of the unlucky one. I was on and off types of accutane for 12 YEARS (ages 12 to 24) as without it my acne ALWAYS came back. Now, as I’m approaching my 25th, this is the first time since puberty where I haven’t been on some kind of oral medication (pill, accutane, purbac) and not getting breakouts… fingers crossed is stays this way 🤞🏽

I came off accutane, and three months later i’m getting worsening acne once again. Pretty disheartening when you consider that accutane is marketed as a total cure :(

My sister is on Accutane for the second time:/ Don't know why that happened. It really wasn't as severe as it was before, so I'm wondering if it was necessary for her to go through it again.

i’m on my third round, i have noticed there was always a REASON why my acne comes back.. the thing is with my skin once it comes back it will notttt go away completely the way it does when im on accutane. so after my first round my skin was great until i went back to school when we were required to wear masks, i was using the blue medical masks and after a week my acne came back and just got worse, i switched to a cotton mask and immediately saw my acne get better. i still ended up going back on accutane as skincare wasn’t getting rid of the redness and spots the acne left on my face. second round is done and my skin is looking great! but then i started a new job and started dressing up and going out which made me decide to put on a bit of makeup. (mind you i RARELY wear makeup) the makeup i was putting on my skin was unfortunately from 8th grade (i was a freshman in college) about 5 year old makeup 😅😅 and my skin broke out again in a span of two weeks. so now i am on my third round of accutane and i’ve been watching videos and speaking with my dermatologist about good skincare to keep my acne away when i stop accutane and other stuff like using the correct makeup that is oil free (non-comedogenic) < basically stuff that won’t clog my pores. i am finally learning about having oily, sensitive, acne prone skin and the correct way to work with my skin. i can’t just throw whatever i want on my skin and expect it to be fine just because my acne is gone (i assume just because my skin is clear now it’ll stay that way forever even if im not taking care of it correctly) that’s my experience and im finally learning more about my skin and to care for it correctly. i’ll do my best to stick to a solid skincare routine and use the right makeup that won’t irritate or breakout my skin. that’s my experience hopes this helps some of y’all

I’ve done two rounds And still get full face breakouts every few months :( worked wonders at first but now I’m a few years out from my second round and every 4-6 months I’ll spend a month crying every day and cancelling social things bc my skin is so red and inflamed. I rarely ever change products or routines and am very regimented w skincare too. Totally sucks

I’d like to give caution to those in the comments that in my experience after two high dose full treatments, my acne came back within a year with higher severity than starting accutane.

unfortunately mine came back after 2 years finishing my first treatment. acne definitely was worse but wasn’t in the areas that originally broke out before my first treatment. all in my t zone and super painful deep pimples. starting my second treatment! accutane has been the only thing to clear my skin up perfectly. everything else im resistant to

After getting off acutane like 4 months later my skin became oily, dull and i had pimples pooping all my forehead. I did nothing , eventually juat went away. And now 5 5 years later my skin is btter than before. I just wash my face with mild soap and then apply lotion and thats it. Been good since

Been taking low dose accutane for 10 years now. 40mg per week. Off for 3 mos now but they came back. Topical meds are epiduo and azelaic acid. Still nothing has worked. I hope theres a derma that will REALLY solve my problem and not just rely on accutane.

I had finished my first cycle of accutane and after I was done I still had some pills left. I had forgotten about them for a while and decided to finish them off but only ended up taking one (because I also forgot to take the rest). After this I have been breaking out. I don’t know if it’s because of the weather becoming more hot making me sweat and all that or just me randomly taking the accutaine. Would that be the case???

I use gla6 cream in night twice a week nd sebogel rest of the nights and as a moisturizer i use dot n key cica night gel nd when i go outside i use ponds bb cream. Is anything wrong with my routine? I'm getting pustules again nd I'm using ethiglo facewash
