After listening to Robin there is no other acoustic guitar for me. I hope his instruments are going to be revered in the same way Antonio Stradivari's violins are. This man's passion, dedication & to skill to Luthiery is 2nd to none. The man's a living world treasure.

Watched this with my Norman B20 on my lap. One day, I hope to play a Boucher because of the spiritual connection to the instrument that I've played for over 30 years. It has helped me express the many joys and heartbreaks in my life and has been there for me like nothing else. It's not the best guitar in the world, but it sounds and plays as good as any cedar and ply Canadian cherry can sound or play. I feel it can never be replaced, but it can still share space in my heart with an instrument from Boucher. One day.

I own many guitars, mostly Martins. But two days ago I bought a Boucher SG52V. It's the one I've been looking for all these years, (I'm 72) Thanks to J. P. Cormier for making me aware of Robin and his great work. And thanks to Robin for not just building wonderful guitars, but also for building a quality Canadian company.

What a wonderful and knowledgeable guy. This is the kind of boss anybody would love to work for. His passion is real (as he said, it's from the heart) to make the best-sounding guitar that he can for the player. That is what you want to hear from a guitar maker. You don't need to be the biggest to be the best. What a good story (video)

An absolutely wonderful video that gave me greater insight to a builder that JP Cormier talks about constantly on his KZfaq channel. Being from the US we are constantly bombarded with American manufacturers and never really get to know luthiers outside the US. JP has done Boucher, Furch and even Yamaha( thought here as a beginner instrument ) to new understanding. I just purchased a Gordon style Stratocaster and it is superior to Fender at a fraction of the price Continue your work in the way that you know best. You are a true artist and a person of integrity

I had a once-in-a-lifetime (probably) opportunity to purchase the guitar of my dreams (for context, the guitar of *my* dreams was one that cost between $10K and $12K). I couldn't afford an old Martin for this price, so I looked at new, boutique builders, and narrowed the options that I thought would be best for my situation down to Boucher and Bourgeois. I eliminated some of the finest guitar builders in the world like Collings, Thompson, Santa Cruz, Huss&Dalton, etc., because I decided these two builders were the best options for me. I ended up going with Bourgeois and purchased the most beautiful OM shade top, with Brazilian rosewood I've ever seen. I love this guitar, and have absolutely no regrets with my decision. It is a stunningly beautiful guitar, and it is an absolute cannon of an OM that rings like the sweetest bell ever made. BUT... If I ever have the opportunity again (probably will not happen), I will buy a Boucher to keep it company.

JP Cormier clued me into Boucher, you can see how much Robin cares about making guitars, and the dedication to the craft. I have decided to own one and see, if this can be THE Desert Island Guitar, a guitar like Trigger. The main guitar. The keeper never to be sold. The one that makes me want to play it so much that my playing transforms like Robert Johnson's case and people think I've made deals at crossroads but I just bought a blue grass goose.

Man, I needed to see this! I’m familiar with Boucher, as a repair/restore guy, but I have never seen a post 2014 Boucher. All my experience has been with older Bouchers. JP Cormier has influenced my desire to revisit Boucher guitars. I’m a big fan of red spruce for guitar tops. I have a set of Adirondack top pieces that I bought from Sergei de Jonge, in Quebec, that I’m dying to build into a 000! But…..My first acoustic was a Norman! I’m very impressed with his techniques for scalloping bracing, and…..his torrefication ideas! Combine that with the best red spruce on the planet, well, I’ve got to try a new Boucher! Peace
