I still laugh as the new birds arrive each year and perform the same twig ritual. I always laugh when a client at the same moment on the phone while I am looking at the male bird, asks me to explain to his wife how my treatment will look in their room.

I think Dennis is a meditator. I find this kind of joyful observation in the garden, and hope to find it in a listening room someday when female bird approves😅

You're simply great Dennis 😂 luckily i'm single and don't have this problem. Currently renovating my "nest" and trying to make the best of my square 12x13ft room afterwards, having watched alot of your videos I feel confident. Greetings from germany 👋🏻

Which is why everyone into music (or home theater) needs a dedicated listening room. I realize this is not possible for most people. I also believe more people are into the music than sound quality. All one has to do is look at all photos on the internet.

There are too many variables to manage in a dual usage room. What is required treatment for sound quality, is not living quality.

Your bird story brought to mind the series you did on Michael's room. Although it certainly showed what could be done in a listening/living room, it seemed that Michael's wife what not exactly overjoyed.

I know you aren’t a big fan of poly diffusers but I just built a couple prototypes that are hanging on my wall that I’m experimenting with and they aren’t the prettiest and my wife came down to the cave to watch a movie tonight and was pretty horrified. In this case here she wanted to throw the twigs out and I cordially shoved them into the nest and that was that.

Poly diffusers are not true diffusers. Their performance does not qualify for a true diffuser. They are sound redirection devices. Sound direction tools have a function to perform if used properly with certain room usages.

Yes ..I Just kept those big pair of 12" twigs that can WOOF @(30+ 30)W & an 8" pair that sqwaks ..in my small 11'×13' nest..... despite all the twitter & cackle my bird makes for something smaller 🤣🤣..

None that I am aware of. I am frequently asked to speak with the female bird on behalf of the male bird regarding his twig choices. I no longer do this.
