Very cool. I went through a similar experience with acoustic treatment. I no longer have that vague sensation that I'm "missing something". I hate leaving my apartment because everywhere else sounds very annoying and irritating. I have become an acoustic/audio recluse, and I don't regret it. enjoy

I wish more would understand that a treated room sounds so much better than an untreated room. The room accounts for more than 50% of what you hear. If amps and speakers didn't give you a 100%, people would buy new gear. Yet, they place their gear in a room full of distortions and call that good sound.

Low frequency energy can be as defined and resolute as the mids and highs.

Why is the foam panel just laying on top of the carbon panels?

Room tuning is a process where you place treatment types in different places to manage reflections. As the resolution of the room increases, you begin to notice the areas that are producing distortions. Rememeber that there are two main areas of distortions. There are unwanted pressures along with unwanted reflections. You place treatment types in different locations and listen for improvements. Its a step by step process over time.

Wow! impressive. Curious as to much was spent on those treatment products to achieve this?

The project cost was around 50 K. Achieving the highest resolution room current technology can offer means "building" a new room within your existing room. You will not use hammer and screws. You will use a series of treatments that minimize and enhance the acoustical requirements to match the usage. These chosen treatments will take up 6 - 16" in room space.

@@AcousticFields I was told the ideal room dimensions are 25-30ft width/length and 13ft or more ceiling height. This room does not look like it meets those dimensions. I was told around 100k for a "home theatre" setup, assuming the room was already available. What is your setup considered to be? I am guessing it is not "home theatre". What is the difference with "home theatre" and why would I choose it over this far less expensive option? Thank you.

@@dialecticalmonist3405 We have two main types of clients. We have those that build a new dedicated room from the ground up and those that must work within a given room size. An ideal range for a new build we have found with 431 rooms built to date that 23 - 27' w x 13 - 15' h x 27 - 31' l creates an acoustical environment that minimizes the modal and reflection issues down to a level that will responds well enough to treatment to produce the 70 , 80, and 90 % room resolutions we offer. www.acousticfields.com/room-resolutions/

@@dialecticalmonist3405 It is difficult to make estimates on projects since each is so different in many ways but similar in others. I would estimate that for retrofit treatment (existing room) 50 - 75K with freestanding and wall hanging units. I would estimate for a new build to be around 100 K using our CAW system for low frequency management and wall hanging diffusion /absorption.

@@AcousticFields Thank you for the replies. The reason I ask, is because I am shopping for a new house, and this is part of my decision process. For example, I can get a house that has big rooms, but no land to build a brand new room. Or... I can get a property that has a small house, but has plenty of land to build a new, dedicated room. I have my eyes on a house with big rooms, and 50k is workable for me. If I get a small farmhouse with a big property for building a new room, the project would have to wait, as 100k is a bit much at the moment. I appreciate the responses. I suppose much depends on the difference in "quality" of the different "resolution" levels, which I would have to hear for myself.
