Agreed. Pressure and reflections are the two components that we must work with in small rooms.

I was watching another video from another channel and they took measurements before/after they put treatment in the their room. The video had 4 9 inch deep "bass traps" (with just building insulation) put in the four corners of the room and the ONLY thing they did was reduce the decay a LITTLE. They did NOT do ANYTHING to reduce the peaks of the lower frequency problems, they just reduced the very end of the decay only by a VERY small, insignificant amount. yet the person that made the video thinks they treated the low frequency problems. It was just another display of misinformation.

This is a common error made by people. They do not understand the difference between low frequency pressure issues and reflections (reverb). Pressure issues must be treated with pressure based technologies of which there are 3. We have Helmholtz, membrane, and diaphragmatic. The common ttreatment type for reflections is open celled foam and unfortunately building insulation. Insulation lacks the proper rates and levels of absorption for music and voice. This is why you destroy the harmonics with insulation.

@@Oneness100 Thanks. Yeah, I actually saw that video. It did flatten a peak at 100Hz by 4 dB, and did nothing with the 40Hz peak in the room.
