i'm sorry to be a pain in your backside but you have given me more info in 4 videos than I have gotten in the past 4/5 months of watching other people pour. You seem to be the only person who really wants to help beginners to figure out how to do this
@LeftBrainedArtist3 жыл бұрын
It's hard to remember how it was when you started out. I'll admit I am a slow learning and my video are to help that information stick in my brain. I'm glad it is helping you. Asking for help isn't a bother nor a paint in my backside. It actually gives me more ideas for videos and lets the Pouring Nation community help each other out. Keep em coming.
@katrinacarnagey52983 жыл бұрын
@@LeftBrainedArtist Thank you. I'm sometimes slow with a new process in math. So for 100 sq inches it would need 4 oz of paint. 4 colors would be 1 oz ea or 38 grams. 5 colors would be .8 oz or 23 grams each. would this be correct? I am beginning to understand why larger amounts would be easier. I have some work to do to get more space. ;)
@LeftBrainedArtist3 жыл бұрын
@@katrinacarnagey5298 You are correct. Be sure to test your paints. You don't always want equal parts of paint as the ones that have the highest tint strength and/or opacity will rule the rest of the paints. My video last week talks about some ways to combat that problem with paints.

David, you have made this simple for me. It is also nice to see how little paint is wasted. some videos I have seen make me cringe at the wasted paint, I know they say they scrape them up and use them later but if you can stop this by using your method there is very little to scrape. I have watched all 4 tonight and can't stop watching, probably watch them over again. I think I can be successful at this. Thank you David

This was an amazing tutorial and breakdown on how to get started. I have tried 3-4 pieces so far (that I’m not to happy with) and I have learned so much more in 3 videos of yours then the last year of watching random videos. How you explain the pouring process (what to do with hangs, avoids spills help the paint move, how to achieve the rings and swirling of the colors while keeping them defined) has helped me a lot I love how much detail, options and alternate ways to try things, I was able to watch most of this video while doing my hair and not looking at the screen, and I still learned so much on how I could have made my last couple pieces better. Great classes, thank you

I really like the one with the large red cells the best. The cell really fasinate me and add interest to your art. Thank you.

I don't think I can pick a favorite. As you finished each one, I thought, "Oooo ... I really like that one!!" I haven't tried any pouring techniques yet. I have most of the supplies I need either on hand or on order, except pouring medium. I will hopefully be getting started soon. I've often suspected that I have slightly less artistic talent than a turnip. But this looks like something I might be able to get the hang of. And I find myself strangely attracted to the various designs pouring can create.

I have very little artistic talent and I have figured it out Kevin. You can too!

This video left me mesmerized. The pour on the right with the red cells looks very cool.
