Acrylic Pouring - Reverse Dip with plastic wrap! Happy Accidents!

Fluid art is full of happy accidents! This acrylic pour uses the reverse dip technique, and even though I do it all wrong probably, it turned out to be beautiful!!

Colors include: Quinacridone Red, Portrait Pink, Dioxazine Purple, Cobalt Teal, Iridescent Gold, VanDyke Red, Iridescent Green Blue, Medium Magenta, Green Gold, Lime Green
Recipe:
2oz paint (mostly liquitex heavy body)
1 oz liquitex pouring medium
1 oz GAC 800
2 oz thinning solution (mix of 1/4 pouring medium and 3/4 water)
3-4 drops of silicone in several of the colors

I do the same technique but I use a blank canvas and press, as opposed to wrap. Then I have 2 canvases to work on. I love your results on this

Not bad at all .... I really like the colors that you used .... I think I would try a smaller canvas to play with. The one's I've seen peel the plastic wrap to the center then lift, but you had a ton of plastic wrap to deal with on your own. Sometimes we women need two extra arms. Can't wait to see attempt two. I have to admit I thought at first when you put the colors on canvas I was not really into the colors thought all were dull looking except the lime green and White, but was I ever shocked How vibrant Your beautiful colors were and I absolutely love your results.Awesome and beautiful. Thank you so much Sherry!! I was nervous too!! It looked like the kinda thing I would do in elementary school! As the colors smooshed out, they lightened and gave it a lot of life! I am definately doing more! Did a dip tonight with Dragonfly Glaze as the background! I will post the video tomorrow night

Yes!! That is exactly what I am planning to try next!! I was thinking of leaving the plastic on the canvas that I dip with so it can be reused over and over. Thank you so much for sharing!

Well, I guess it was an accident sorta! The recipe I used is listed in the video description. There was silicone in a few of the colors... then the saran wrap dip, and a bit of torching. They just happened! :-)

Maybe try pulling the plastic off from a short end (8" end) rather than longways? I really like the end result.
