ACRYLIC POURING TUTORIAL VIBRANT DUTCH POUR with resin finish

I’m doing an Acrylic Pour Dutch Pour style tutorial. I create an abstract art piece on cradled wood panel. I blow very watered down acrylics (about 50% water) to create a beautiful composition and finish it with resin for a super high gloss glassy finish. I think both pieces that you showed in this video are beautiful. You are losing your colors beneath the black that you are pouring around the puddles. Have you tried blowing out the colors without pouring the base coat around them ? Not sure what other artists you watch, but maybe watch some of Kanella Ciraco. You may find that you like her process. Either way, you paintings are very beautiful and I am subscribing.

Hi, thank you for your comment! Yes I’m aware of the color loss when blowing the paint over the colors. I still prefer how the colors mix over blowing out lines of paint -which I also do sometimes. I have followed kanella for over 3 yrs when she first started her KZfaq. She was actually one of the artists that got me into this technique. I saw her before I saw Rinskes channel. And she was also doing puddles in the beginning… I will def also be doing some line pours here. I’ve been pouring a long time, just didn’t put any energy into this platform 🫣😅-thanks for subscribing!

Beautiful! Do the colors have the same consistency as the base or are they more liquid?

Thank you! I try to have about the same consistency but the colors often thicken up a bit as they’re in small containers and I live in a warm climate-so the dark colors and metallics usually thicken as I’m using them
