As requested here comes another soap and acrylics abstract painting with another color pallette. A couple weeks back I did the same with a black cover layer and many asked me if this (and how it) works with another coating. So this time I opted for white to give it a more classy look...but you can basically use whatever color you would like.
Try it, it is much fun!!

Sometimes a vision of what you want to create is completely different than what is actually created and it's so difficult to let go of that original vision! Both versions are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations and your process of creating them!

Love both. Interesting technique. Reminds me of 2nd grade when we colored all the colors of the rainbow on a sheet of paper then colored over it all with a black crayon. Then . . . we took a tool and scraped off the black paint to create a picture of our choosing. I chose a Toucan!

Thanks Cindy!! It really looks like wasting a ton of soap but it 'only' was about 1/4 of the bottle or so. But it is way worth the fun :)) What do you think? Should I change the thumbnail to the finished painting? I am so unsure when it comes to this video's thumbnail this time :((

LOL, that about does it. Been super hot here in Texas as well this summer. Started out in the 100's all the way back in March this year. Around 38 C. And has gotten up to 118 at my house. Almost 48 C. I do remember there was a day or two in the summer that was crazy. Had to put our field jackets on in summer! It was insane! But one of my favorite things there was a tree in my backyard. saw it out the window downstairs and on the balcony both. It had these little yellow flowers that were so bright even when cloudy. I called it my sunshine tree.

Gorgeous! I tried doing this after your first video doing this method. I had the same problem that you had in the first painting of this video. I decided it was the dish soap I used, so I'm searching for thicker soap.

well in my case it was the airbrush paint that just did not hold it shape. The soap itself was not so much of the problem....the water in the airbrush paint was...But I always like to show also my fails...so that everyone else can learn from them :)

basically I just put it into the shower and let water run over it. Sometimes it needs the shower to be closer to have a bit more force onto it but basically...that is it. You can help it using a soft brush as well if you like...but nothing more is needed.

Muss man sie Seife wieder auswaschen? Oder wie kommt es zu diesem Effekt?
@MKLGRMFineArt

sorry für die späte Antwort. Ja die Seife wäscht man wieder ab, wenn die Farbe trocken ist. Dann geht die Seife und die Farbe über der Seife ab und man bekommt den Look.

Wow!! When it isn't terribly hot in Kentucky...I have to try this!! When you added the white paint, was it just paint or something added to it? Thank you...I love your videos and accent!! If you're ever in Kentucky, give me a holler...I could learn alot from you!Wishing you all the best, sir!

Hey Laryn :) It was just white paint. For the first one it was white acrylic paint thinned for the airbrush and the second was a regular white spray bottle - also nothing fency. We are planning our US trip next year but it is east coast only....your country is just super huge...

Maybe some here can help. I wish to do this to a model about the 2 inches tall. So large drips and stings won't work. Iv been trying to figure out a way to get the soap sting in a smaller way but can't get it right.

Perhaps Masking fluid might work. You can paint it on or drizzle and you can peel it off once dried. This at least was my first idea that popped into my mind :)

May i ask of what kind of soap are you using
@MKLGRMFineArt
@MKLGRMFineArt 3 жыл бұрын
it is actually regular basis dish soap. They happen to have power gels here as well which do the same but are more concentrated and therefore thicker. Those work better as they stay more stable in shape on the painting while the regular dish soaps tend to spread out more and killing the line-look a bit more.

No it did not happen to me. I expected it with the one that I spray painted as this took a while and was wet to the bones afterwards but it just dried. The Acrylics seal off the canvas so it is kind of water resistant anyways but yeah...expected it but it did not happen for me :)

Hello, glad I joined your video channel. maybe a question ? Why use liquid soap with colors? Does it need to be diluted with water? Or is it used directly with the color, and does the color of the soap affect the color used on the painting?!

the soap must be added first and then the last cover layer comes on top. It only works with a spray paint. Get one in a spray paint bottle which worked better anyways and they are pretty easy to get in craft stores or hobby markets :))

LianeS Life thank you so much :)) that made my day perfect!!! Honestly!! Well if you see a frame you think would look better S a thumb text me the time. Initially I had the end result on black background but it did not pop as the black one from the first video. I currently have 4 portrait commissions that I am working on and a couple already done which I will also upload soon. Thing is that the realism videos do not catch so much interest and as the last 2 videos did not work for a large audience I wanted to see if that hits better :) guess I need to ask more about sharing the videos when I upload the realism...

MKL GRM Fine Art maybe ask your subscribers what they want to see? Make a video with your art what you have done, the different things and ask if they want to see how you did something! AND ask on Instagram in your story where you have things you can put in your story uh sorry I can not find the word😳 I think that the interest in your other art needs to grow and is for another public as the pouring people. I am happy to hear your have 4 commissions, you are SO good and people will see that on YT too!! I hope you understand what I mean on Insta with making stories🙏 I promise you that when I think you can do better, I will let you know but I do not think I need to! I also will watch the commercials in your video’s!! When you have red this, delete these comments☺️ I think that is better... See you soon🎨

LianeS Life there is no need to delete it, all fine and very much appreciated :) I did those showing off videos already a couple months back also showing the realism. It was well accepted. When it comes to insta I really suck at those stories...I really do...something to improve on 😅😅 and it also kind of does not help that most of my realism works recently are oils...and most of my Facebook groups are colored pencil and pouring...but well...there is always ways to improve :)) and all your feedback is very much appreciated for sure ❤️😍❤️

I've seen you other dish soap vid, and I too have done a white version, but I do prefer black. Did a big four canvas piece project which now hangs on my ki in room wall. Colour look a lot better on black imo. As for dish soaps I usually get a new one each month and make a new painting. It's so much fun?

I liked them both. The first one was so beautiful before you covered it with white, I was sorry you did. (If you sealed the painting before you put the soap on and then did not like the result, you could remove the sprayed paint, get a second chance at it?). Thanks for sharing!

Ziggie Zag well it’s all about the experiments :) the base layer can be done again in no time. That took about 15 minutes or so :) I could not have removed all the white. Some parts Stück more and if I rubbed it the base layer would have chipped off as well...I added some real gold leaf on top and sealed it. Patrick loved it so I will keep it :)

As you said you had to finally wash it down in the shower, which might I add, would have looked screamingly funny for any non-artist looking on..LOL...I still do not know how this works.
