Former JW here! Witnesses are expected to preach for at least 10 hours a month at all ages. The reason you might see more in their late teens or early twenties is simply because they still live at home typically and have more time to put into it. There are three different ranks (or were when I was in, but I think they might’ve changed them since then) publisher is 10 hours or more, auxiliary pioneer is 50 hours or more, then regular pioneer is 70 hours or more. No one in the congregation is paid for any of the ministry work so it’s just about how much free time people have to devote to it. And yes, Jah is short for Jehovah and they’re used interchangeably within the religion, and yes, it is a cult, do not get involved lol

Still stuck in the cult here. They actually just removed all the time requirements for pioneers of all types. You just write “yup went out in service”. They did tell me I, a woman am allowed to wear pants at the meetings, which is sick I guess.

Now it seems like there’s not really anything special for women to do within the congregation. Hoping you an escape eventually when you’re ready for it. It’s a tough one

To this day I do not know who Tony is. I think I’ve watched every video, and yet through the past month ish he’s been in every description and yet I continue to be clueless as to who he is. Who is this man? Not to make any accusations, but I haven’t seen my wife since I first heard of this Tony guy. Im confused, angry, sad, and so many more emotions all at once. God bless.
