We're used to prominent actors living long lives in the spotlight. Every once in awhile, an actor's star will fade, but for the most part these are wealthy, well-taken-care-of people who live long, healthy lives. This is sadly not always the case. There are some high profile action stars who have had their lives cut short by illness or disaster, and we continue to remember them today, both for what they accomplished in their short lives and what they could've gone on to do. Some of these tragedies occurred years ago, while others have happened more recently. These are action movie stars who suffered the most tragic deaths.

Grunge forgot about Jeffrey Hunter!!! If you don't know him, Watch the First Episode of Star Trek. He portrayed Captain Christopher Pike in the Pilot Episode that kick-started Star Trek immediately before William Shatner arrived for a second Pilot of Star Trek that made Television and Franchise History. Not counting the fact that Leonard Nimoy was also in Both Pilot Episodes portraying Spock (thus meaning Leonard was in Star Trek far more than Any Character)

Absolutely 💯. We never know what someone is going through privately. The fact that he made it a point to give joy to children dying of cancer while he too was suffering from the same illness, is a true testament to (like you've said) him being "someone that shines inside and out". Many on this list were truly tragic, many were tragic, Heath Was a true acting legend, like Chadwick had many more glorious years in life left. River was another truly tragic as his star was burning bright. /i have had young people that I grew up with die young for various reasons. Death is never fair and some of us actually play with the idea. I am old enough to have a lot of the people that brought me joy pass on. Life is never fair, life loses it glamour as we age. I have two grandsons born in the samr year that are now both three, I see the glimmer of joy of life in their eyes. The happiness does return, but the joy we lost along the way will always be with us..

2:44. I can only imagine the high end lawyers Landis had to defend him. No wonder he got off. I can't help but suspect that he was directing the helicopters to come in closer and closer which led to the deaths. Hovering helicopters don't crash unless the blades hit something.

The Thing About Chad Boseman" Was his ability to be very humble and also a very strong mental/ Physical ability to be a genuine Super Hero!!!!!!! It's a very very hard thing to come off on screen as a super cool/Bad Ass/Very Intelligent " Super Hero/Man!!!!!! And too be as Humble as possible!!!!!!!! Is amazing!! Because most people that would have half his charisma and Good looks!!!!!? And everything else he had going for him!!!!? Would have a very hard time not letting it go to their heads!!!!!!!!!?" But not Chad!!!!! Very humble and modest!!! Always!!! He's sadly missed!!! God bless you all today Shalom

Great point. When I was working in hospice there were some deaths that were certainly a relief to the patient and often times to the family also. So many family members have terrible guilt when they feel relief after seeing their loved ones pass after suffering from devastating illness'.

@@kathleenmuchka2559 yes I actually agree after watching both my brother and dad slowly getting eaten up by bonecancer. It is kinda a relief when it's over. More tragic to watch them alive than watching them die, in a weird way. Very weird feeling if one hasn't been in that situation. But... I still think that there's going to be hard to find a death that isn't tragic.

@@kathleenmuchka2559 I can understand that. Relief and guilt. I watched a lot of people I loved or grown to love pass away but suffered immensely while here on earth battling their illnesses. Saddest feelings that you wish to not ever have. And the guilt can drive someone "mad"..

Wilt Chamberlain was a great basketball player. One of the top three of all time. But to call him an action star is stretching it a little bit. I just finished reading his biography and in the last year of his life his health literally fell off the cliff.

It was due to a dental issue he never fixed I believe. He got elbowed in a game very hard during the 60s and apparently it became something that nagged him for the rest of his career. Turns out the hit had cracked his tooth or something like that, but by the time he had gotten to the dentist later in his life to try and fix it, it was too late and it had already created an infection which travelled to his heart, which explains the rapid weight loss. He also did have an underlying heart condition because he had been so tall from the age of 13.

The Game of Death was Bruce Lee's final film. Not Enter the Dragon. Granted, it wasn't completely done. They finished it without him, even put footage of his real funeral in the movie. Then released it.
@mikehammer1777
@mikehammer1777 2 жыл бұрын
Enter the Dragon was his final film. He stopped shooting Game of Death when Warner Bros. offered to produce Enter the Dragon. He only shot 4 fight scenes for GOD, got the call from Warner, and began ETD. So literally, the last film he completed was actually Enter the Dragon. That hodge-podge GOD that was released in 1978, by Robert Clouse (5 years after Bruce's death btw), while well intended, is an insult to Bruce's original script and concept. Go watch "Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey". Had Bruce completed GOD as intended, no doubt it would have been the best martial arts movie ever made.

Opening night for "The Crow" was the first time I ever heard end-credit applause, the "subdued" volume was balanced by its' sustained length all the way until the house lights came up. As a comic book nerd, I knew the poetic Irony watching a dead actor brought back to life onscreen playing a character brought back to life for revenge. I had a Fear of the adaptation belittling the books' emotional drama from the moment production of the film was confirmed, although I enjoyed a reason to share my books with my friends instead of talking about them. Brandon Lee's death made me Despair that the film would be impossible to complete, although I suddenly had interest in my books from my female friends. Now my only Fear is writing too much perspective on a comment thread, but sometimes a nerd's gotta do what a nerd's gotta do.

Actually Brandon died in the room of the gun manager. The gun was placed aside for inspection and fixing. One of the actors began playing with the gun that needed fixing. The manager had stepped out for just a second. Brandon walked in from taking pictures for a slide of the movie. The kid playing with everyone else grabbed another gun which happen to be the faulty gun and got shot in the chest. This same situation just happened with Alec Baldwin and a female director. This shouldn't of happened with anyone else being this happend to Brandon.

As a kid I loved Bruce lee. Now that they got the deep fake technology and they can make movies like the Will Smith's Gemini Man, the should make a few Bruce Lee movies, and then make a gangster movie and use the face of some of the best gangster movie actors of the 40's and 50's, put them all together in one movie. I dont mean Bruse Lee, he needs his own movie.
