Oh my God, you don't know how much I pushed watching you go up that mountain. My heart is racing, I'm out of breath! Great job young man! Walking up Mount Rainier is nothing compared to this. At least Rainier is solid road. High but not rocky like this. This is one I would never do. Congratulations 👏

The only mountain I have climbed was Pilot Mountain in NC. I was in my 30's and was with a walking group. We decided to hike Pilot Mountain one Saturday. Umph, never again. I stayed out of work for 2 days after that. Not b/c I hurt myself but my damn feet hurt. So you have at it Actionkid. 😮. You are living up to your name!!

What a stunning hike! It's nice to see you weren't forced to interact with every single fellow hiker you passed by. Where I live, I get bombarded constantly by every passing hiker wanting to say hello and engage in small talk. I'm an extreme introvert and I find interacting with strangers to be uncomfortable and extremely exhausting, especially after the hundredth hiker who forced me to engage with them. When I hike I just want to be left alone and not have to talk to anyone. I've kind of solved this problem by wearing ear buds and looking focused every time a fellow hiker approaches. But it's nice to see there that most people left you alone. Going out into nature for me, is partly about getting away from people. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for this AK! Glad the views were worth it! I remember being in The Rocky Mountains and there was a sign for the easy hike… when you looked at the path you would literally be sliding down the side of the mountain…I did the medium hike instead and it was much safer…ha, ha.

Reminds me of when you hiked up to the Hollywood sign in LA - so high & steep and no guardrails, very small trails. You never even seemed out of breath here or there😮😅

Congratulations AK this is not for the faint hearted but you conquered the hike. To think the soldiers had to build a pulling system from the top to get the supplies to build these structures during the war in the Pacific on a daily basis until finished. That trail is what they had to climb not much has changed since. Thankyou this was an amazing and scary experience.

I've hiked Lanikai many times. The dirt is powdery fine and can be slippery. My most favorite time was hiking at dusk up and then down when it's dark.

This was a beautiful little hike with magnificent views! Have you done much mountain hiking? Having lived most of my life in New Hampshire, I've spent lots of time hiking in the White Mountains and would have found the hike up to the pill box fairly easy, but I'd have been carrying a walking stick rather than a camera. I'd imagine the walk back down on all the sand and gravel would be challenging, What would have intimidated me most was the way the trail went so close to the drop offs. I would def recommend a chest mount and GoPro (or phone with a gopro mount adapter) for difficult hikes as you can keep your hands free. Amazing hike!

Awesome views!!!! Your struggle should be a warning to others!!!! This walk is not easy! I walked Diamond Head Crater in 2018!!! Great exercise! The 100 stairs at the top were a bitch!!!

You can see why people have so many accidents on nature trails due to the fact they are wearing in proper footwear it is very important that you have proper footwear while climbing any mountain
