I love how Ceasar's speech evolves in these movies from a handful of words in Rise, to minimalist statements in Dawn, and then fully realized sentences in War. That and the fact that he is always the most well spoken of all the apes. The other apes don't even speak in his presence if they can help it as a sign of respect. So much character building in Caesar and the apes with just being mindful of how they communicate. Brilliant writing.

@phillipsanchez531210 күн бұрын
@@joseluis5055 This is an interesting thread. Caesar starts the previous "Dawn" film thinking the humans have offed themselves because they have not seen any in two years if memory serves. It isn't until the scouting crew looking for the hydro dam comes along that this assumption by him is proven wrong. He figures out something is contagious that is affecting the humans by this film, but it is pretty clear that the apes are not what is causing it because they are around them all the time as prisoners and nothing happens. It is transferred from one human to the next, though. That much is clear. It is implied that the Simian flu is the cause due to mutation, but that is an assumption by the colonel, a man who has little trust of science to begin with. Maybe it is a different affliction. Maybe it is a mutated strand of the original pandemic. I think the colonel is projecting this survival of the fittest narrative mostly to justify him killing his own son. His sacrifice has to mean something, right? By killing the apes off, he can postpone what he likely knows is the end game. He calls it perfectly when he predicts exactly the world order that comes in Kingdom when he tells Caesar the the apes will rule over humans.

Your missing the point. The human military didnt give 2 craps about the apes. It was the virus that was going to kill them all that was the problem. The colonel, out of fear of the large population at the main base, defected and went rogue to avoid such a mass infection scenario. Unfortunately he lost his mind after his daughter died and laid blame on the apes. The military realized after the virus was evolving that they had to find a cure or some way to prevent it. The last thing on their mind was war with the apes. Yes its true the entire military would have destroyed the apes with ease. But then what? Thats not going to stop the virus. They all will still die.

Idc if the colonel is supposed to be evil, I say he was in the right. Apes are stronger then humans, only thing against apes humans had was swimming and smartness, but with the apes becoming smart the humans only had swimming. And the “kill as many of them as you can” is smart, in war if your almost certainty going to die then just kill as many as you possibly can. For every soldier you kill that is possibly one fellow solider you save.

Caesar didn't wanted the war. Koba started it. The colonel continued the war. The two sides that couldn't see anything but war as the rigth choice ultimately caused our extinction. I dont think the message is you should advocate for war no matter what.
@josephadventure46352 күн бұрын
@@XDapologist eventually another ape would want to either kill all humans or enslave then. There would’ve been war either way, and better to do it early while humans are still above apes.
