In the automation Last Engaged Date, when making the custom field, what should we name it and what time frames to use. I think you said 6 months is max but is there a Blogpost to walk us through it?

Hey Martin! We recommend naming the custom field "Last Engaged Date" - you can import our framework for the automation here: www.activecampaign.com/marketplace/recipe/last-engaged-date As for a timeframe - 6 months is a good rule of thumb, but this can vary based on your individual business. You can check out our course on email deliverability here: courses.activecampaign.com/courses/email-deliverability-101 - Specifically the lessons on "List Hygiene" and "Email Engagement Strategy for Deliverability" should shed some more light on this topic!

@@ActiveCampaign thanks! These videos are excellent. Hope they continue. I was using 2 Automations together called Engagement Tagging Part 1 & Engagement Tagging Part 2. Should I delete these and use the single one Last Engaged Date? It is much cleaner and simpler.

@@realMartinHamilton You don't necessarily need both. These automations take different approaches to the same topic: Engagement Tagging 1 & 2 use a system to ensure a tag with the appropriate engagement level is always on a contact, whether that means highly engaged or unengaged. Last Engaged Date tracks a date based custom field for the last time a contact engaged with you. You can run searches and segments using date ranges. You can fire off other automations if the date slips past a certain point.

@@ActiveCampaign awesome. I didn't expect a reply on that and you over delivered with your answer! I will use the Last Engaged Date then. Thanks.
