I love that when I hear those cool licks, they sound so fast, beautiful & hard, but then Brian breaks them down note for note & then I practice them & I find out that they aren’t that hard to play… Mind blown! Just another example of how great a teacher he is.

I'm glad you talked about the spacing between the notes. After all, it's not the bars that hold the Tiger in but the spacing between them

Another great example of not necessarily "what" notes to play but the technic used for for each phrase.

Totally agree thatning the Major Scale changes the game completely...... I've been practicing scales for a year now and totally changed the way I play ...AND what I hear.

An Active Melody Membership makes learning guitar rewarding and fun. You still have to put in the effort and time. But these two requirements should not hinder you, “if” you truly enjoy and want to learn guitar. Frustrating at times. But not a reason to give up. Brian’s referencing previous lesson, with provided links, helps to understand the how and why of the material in the current lesson. I purchased the corded (cheaper) Vidami looper for my wait a minute Brian I didn’t quite get that phrase.

I just learned last week’s lesson note for note and tried a little improvisation with those ideas earlier this week. That was a fun one. Anyhow, I literally finished recording along with the backing track when I saw today’s lesson pop up. I like the sound of this weeks lesson already!

Playing in a “garage band” with guys from high school (55 years ago). We play The Beatles “Things We Said Today” in Am and include a keyboard solo and a guitar solo in our version. I want to “freshen up” my guitar solo and this lesson sounds like it has plenty that I could use. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe you say this in the second video since I'm not a premium member anymore, though I am considering re-investing in your lessons but what I really noticed about your playing was your touch and I think maybe you should emphasize that sometimes... Especially when you hit those bends back to back...you didn't wack them hard you barely touched the last notes so it sounded distant which I believe makes that scale all the more...sad maybe?... Just a thought and I really dig your stuff Brian I am just in dire finances right now so...as I said maybe next month I'll rejoin...
